1.) Has or did the band ever consider releasing all concerts (like Pearl Jam, Gov't Mule and others) ?
2.) On a couple of tours the band was augmented with an extra player or two, why wasn't this a more common happening?
3.) Is there a song from another artist that you heard and said, "Dang I wish I wrote that?"

Man, some great questions written in this thread. I'd love to see them all answered.
Gord Sinclair: You are responsible for penning the Hip's first "hit", Smalltown Bringdown, in addition to possibly the band's most requested B-side, Get Back Again. Did you stop writing lyrics in the late 1980's or have you continued to compile song lyrics all these years, just waiting for a vehicle to release them? Will we ever see a Gord Sinclair solo album?
Paul (an extension of Dana's question): Your background vocals are an essential part of many Hip songs. Do you contribute the words to these or is all background vocal writing also the domain of Gord Downie? Do you and Gord ever vocally riff back and forth in the studio while trying to create the right sound combination? Can you describe the process of coming up with great background vocals?
Rob: You mentioned during an interview conducted at the time of the MMP album release that In a World Possessed was not the consensus first single and that Gord Downie campaigned on that song's behalf against the rest of the band's first choice, Machine. The Hip has always been a democracy (or at least Gord Downie has been a benevolent dictator!) and it is no doubt difficult to get five people pulling in the same direction. Is there a particular song in your catalogue that you remember being a very divisive inclusion on an album, maybe one that you felt very passionate about and had to fight hard to have it included on an album?
Anyone: Metallica has always talked about the riffs they collect, usually numbering in the hundreds, before recording an album. I'm wondering if the band has a treasure trove of guitar riffs recorded and saved somewhere or does the band tend to flesh out the guitar parts into lengthier pieces before deciding whether it is worth working up into a full song. Do members of the band record song ideas on a regular basis when the muse strikes (e.g. on your phone) or is writing a more forced and dedicated effort?
Anyone: Saskadelphia was the reported original title for Road Apples and was subsequently changed at the record label's behest. Are their any other creative decisions, particularly early on in your career, where you had to fight the suits in order to maintain what you felt was your artistic integrity?

So many questions over the years.
I guess here's three?
#1 - I apologize, I am one of those 'crazy(?)' fans. 'The Hip' are my (our) favourite hobbie, and it has been one of the best pleasures of my (our) lives. I hope we are never intrusive. Speaking of intrusion... Do The Hip have any 'She Came In Through The Bathroom Window' stories?
#2 Dr. Baker - Hi Rob. I want to join Twitter specifically to tweet to you and see your tweets, but I am holding out hoping you've visited Hipbase here and there. I know there are lots of logistics and possible 'remastering' into pulling this off (la-la-la-la-etcetra), but please, help us own the discography on vinyl! Pleeease don't say it's not going happen

! From World Container to Music@Work to everything outside and in between (evolution), to a yet to be released mini LP of a live set or anything. Just plz. I know it's not a question. #SorryNotSorry
#3 And perhaps the stupidest question ever asked to the band; would it be okay if you ever cross paths with Sean Bon from Hipbase, that instead of a handshake, he can instead get a super hip hug? 'Everyone's invited.' Thank you so much for letting all of us fans 'pass the initiation' and letting us join your Family Band.

1 (GD). The sense of comradeship you share with band seems to swell over the audience each and every show, bestowing a heightened sense of trust between all, making for a truly unique live connective experience. What is one of your favorite moments that you shared with a crowd or fan during a live show?
2 (GD). When you experience the imperishable ‘writers block’ is there any scene, setting, surrounding, inspiration, you fall back on for a “jolt”?
3. (Band). What is your biggest inspiration?

One for the whole band
Being in a band for over 30 years is an incredible achievement, which I assume wasn't always easy. Just as in any family, there must have been some in disagreements and tough times. Was there ever any time throughout those 30 years where you discussed throwing in the towel? Thank you for never allowing that to happen, but just curious.

For each of the guys:
1. Thinking of the albums you consider your best work, what is the most fruitful writing/creative process by which your lyrics & music find eachother? What do you think of as your role in that process?
2. Where is the IVL love? During the recent tour, IVL was one of the least-played albums. That stings, since it is my favourite album, & I consider it one of your best. 'The Dire Wolf' followed by 'The Dark Canuck' is the greatest one-two punch in your catalogue, in my opinion. So why does this album seem to rate so low in your esteem & on your playlists?
For Gord:
1. Have you ever considered or tackled long-form writing like maybe a screenplay or novel, or is that not something that has held any appeal to you?
2. 5 favourite films, Gord? And favourite directors? Any favourite actors/actresses?
3. So much of the Hip's music is incredibly cinematic--Are there any songs that didn't get videos that you wish had, or particular songs that you think would lend themselves to a video treatment?
ps we love you, gentlemen.

The Tragically Hip have always been supportive of younger bands and songwriters coming up through the ranks. Who are your current favourites you'd like to shine a light? What bands/performers helped in your early days?
