Request RE Kingston Broadcast - PLEASE Help! :)
#31

Wow, a million thanks for all these great torrent links. Just returned from my "dark communication" holiday and have acquired that 3+GB file which looks and sounds great (on my laptop at least). Now trying to snag the 40+GB version to see if that works out ok. You guys are the best! Thanks so much! Smile

Finally home (been on the road since Thursday, Ottawa > Kingston > Elora), so trying the 720p version. Thanks!

for those that have been successful can you re-post the link that worked for you? I've tried a few and I get countless pop-ups, which makes me very nervous about malware.

thanks

Anyone else having issues with playback on the 40gb HD version?
Trying to watch on VLC, with a lot of this...

If I slow the playback speed down to 0.75x, it is minimized.

I guess its a backhaul cut, so no CBC logo and the first 14 minutes or so is just a camera filming nothing backstage, after that, its the broadcast we all saw. The cool thing is that you can hear the crowd singing "O Canada". Very, very cool. http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/show...TRAGICALLY

that is pretty cool. but i'm not sure i want to destroy my ratio for a 40gb file. if someone wants to share it somewhere else, that'd be cool, but not sure where you find a place to share 40gb.

I was thinking the same. Grabbing the 720p version from Dime now; that'll do me I think.

Ironically, I could easily afford to download 40GB on Dime more than TTD.

I got this in about 5 mins. Nowhere near 40 GB but it's been fine so far.

Your computer probably doesnt have up to date codecs or players.

Try downloading vlc media player or updating through your current app that you use to watch video.

This is the video version I've got and it's good. Have to use VLC media player to watch it on a computer. https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/156138 ... tion_(2016)_720p_5.1

Yep. That was it. Plays in VLC just fine. Trying to watch it on the TV, so playing around with some different devices to see if they have the applicable codecs. Quality on this is amazing though. Thanks for the reply.

bump

This is a stretch, but anyone got a line on non-torrent video (such as drop-box or streaming on a server?) (If not? What's the safest torrent software to download to a laptop that's not set up for torrents? Are torrents these days general safe from viruses, adware, and prosecution?)

(Thanks to "arewhyehen" and "andy48" who had private messaged me some months ago at my other username Injured_and_Faking [which I can't access--it's not letting me retrieve forgotten password--so unfortunately haven't been able to read their messages, but I was able you see your user names in the automated private-message notification email]).

Here is a youtube link to the entire show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYymL22RfJs

It's decent quality, but without using torrents, I don't think you'll find anything better. The HD copies are too big for dropbox.

I have never had any issues with viruses or anything with torrents. The laws are much harsher in the USA than they are in Canada.
