Seeing "Official Platinum Seats" listed on TM for Edmonton, with no explanation as to what it gets you...also looks like they aren't on till the regular sale starts.

I am hoping for Ottawa and Kingston -- Kingston I expect will be tough. The real pain with Ottawa it's no ticketmaster. Capital Tickets -- the sens ticket seller -- easily the worse user experience ever. I have never seen it not crash in a sale for a popular show.

My tip? Be the rare American Hip fan. In '07 I got 1st row seats at the ACC. As the ticketmaster.ca servers were overloaded, the American servers let me slide right in and score amazing seats that I was wholly appreciative for. If I can have the same luck tomorrow, I'll feel supremely lucky. Heck, just getting to see my favorite band one more time, regardless of the shitty circumstances, will leave me feeling blessed.

The Victoria show doesn't use TM so this should be interested. I've gotten decent tickets before but sometimes I have things stall out and tickets disappear from the cart

My usual tactics are:

Try presale. Hold the tickets in the cart as long as I can, search again, rinse repeat. If I don't get good tickets wait for the next presale, then the next one, then eventually the regular sale. If I don't get decent tickets by then, then I wait. They usually release better tickets leading up to the show. You bookmark it. Check once a day. Several times a day when your within a few weeks of the show.

I am glad I mostly go to shows in Victoria/Vancouver. Way smaller population than T.O. That's gotta be tough.

Never thought of that, you might just get lucky, we've had a few meltdowns with servers over the years, usually works out in the end though, lets hope so this time.

A company like Ticketmaster handles some of the hottest ticket events in N.America I'm sure it will go well. ( I dont fully believe that but Im just trying to be positive, its tense in here)
