Agreed. Confusedcratch:

1. Vocal/Guitar: Gordon Edgar Downie
2. I wonder if they are going to tour with a harp and a keyboard too
3. My friend is so strange she named her son Gordon Edgar

I hope there are zero more songs on this album that sound like half completed scraps of songs. One is enough, even if the one is kinda catchy.

The balloon part reminds me of something that I can't put my finger on.

You know, I've kinda thought this, too, even though I like IAWPBTHM. I'm worried this might be another IVL.

This song has a throwaway b-side feel, or one of those dumb hidden tracks after the last song that bands throw in for fun. And after a couple of listens I never want to hear it again. In View 2.0.

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

This is becoming a hard site to read things on and many folks are really not moving forward with the band or the artists for that matter..."possessed" has knocked my socks off since about listen 3 and isn't that what we all want in a Hip tune? Something that makes your ears work? If you haven't 'heard God rustlin' around in the bushes' and thought that it was 'a little Super-Dangerous' then maybe you're taking life a little too seriously or are too far into the city. I agree with a previous post here that 'Tired As Fuck' sounds a bit like 'Gems'. I agree it's a bit of a different second release, but I think the vibe of the song in with Gord's poetic take on raising a young family is the most affordable Mother's or Father's Day gift going.

I couldn't agree more. Most hip fans don't seem to get the magic of gord downie. The music is the best I've heard and appreciate every single song and any material from gord. A true legend.

The May and June lines really give me an "As I Wind Down the Pines" vibe or "The Bear", especially the last part of the song. I think it's the guitar riff, and Gord's vocals a little bit.

I like this, but I don't see it as being a lasting favourite. I prefer In a World Possessed.

I like it! Very warm pop.

Playing it over and over and I didn't want to do that with Possessed, even though I like that one more now than I did at first.

Man, you guys are a tough crowd. I hope the band doesn't read this forum.

I predict a 3rd song released on June 3rd....then the album on the 17th.

I'm diggin' it. It's not blowing my mind like World Possessed, but it's a cool little tune. I like the laid back vibe, and Gord's lyrics and singing are top notch. June can't get here fast enough. I'm really looking forward to this album.

A pleasant surprise for me, definitely was not expecting anything like this. I can see some great extended outro jams and rants in a live format. It has a mature, confident sound and vibe to it, the first half could easily be a Bowie song.

Why is that? Is it because not everyone worships everything that the band puts out? "Tired as F*ck" is an awful, cluttered, unfinished mess of a song. "Possessed" has some decent elements that are ultimately ruined by the drum section.

This whole idea of judging what a "real" fan is really amuses me.

I think you should clarify "in your opinion" which you are entitled to...what do you expect from a fan site.

want to be a nobody without peer
want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone
