All including Leave are extremely rare. I can't believe you don't have more realistic songs to chase. Think harder.

Yea, I should add that besides Thugs, I'm also chasing an exact replication of Killer Whale Tank, Cemetery Sideroad, and Paul and Rob engaging in a best-of-7 paper-rock-scissors match onstage.
Along these lines: Blonde Solid ... performed in my kitchen.

If I had to pick a couple songs.. I gotta go with Leave & The Dark Canuck.

But hell they could set up in my garage and play forever and I would never get my fill! Smile

Emperor Penguin keeps me going.

Vapour Trails, Chagrin Falls, Eldorado, Looking For A Place To Happen, Thugs, Cordelia and Three Pistols would be more than nice (this list is supposed to be semi-realistic)

It is on the handwritten setlist, but none of the bootlegs:

Similar for me, back in Ottawa for the first ARA in 93 they played "Thugs", but it is not shown on the setlist and not on the bootleg. I know for 100% certain it was played, I remember I thought Gord introduced it as "this is a song called Fudge" and thing WTF name is that for a song?

Even when "Day For Night" came out I remember flipping the CD over looking for this song "Fudge" on the track listing. At first I was disappointed until I gave the disc a spin and "Thugs" came on...kinda all made sense then....LOL

But it was 100% for certain played.

As for the "wish lists" I feel extremely lucky as I seem to have caught a lot of them being talked about. If there were a couple I would like to catch, it would probably be "No Threat" and "Highway Girl", although the odds to that are one in a million.....so I still have a shot.........

Two that I'd like to hear this time in Edmonton (and both are actual possibilities) are Inch an Hour and Eldorado. 21 shows so far for me and I haven't seen Inch ever and Eldo maybe only at show #1 (ARA '93).

I guess I'm pretty lucky that in my measly single-digit number of shows attended, I've witnessed Thugs twice!

TTH: Vancouver 2004 | Victoria 2007 (x2) | Victoria 2009 (x2) | Solana Beach 2009 | Los Angeles 2009 | Victoria 2012 |
Portland, OR 2012 | Toronto #2 & #3 2016 || GD: Victoria 2010 | Montréal 2014

Tthip Wrote:And Fight!!!!!
Why the hell is this song not played every damn show.

That they never play this has always bothered me a great, great deal. I can't understand it. It's almost like they want to forget they ever wrote it or put it on a record. But why? It's among the best things they've done.

Whatever the answer is, it must somehow relate to the subject of my other Great Bother in regard to TTH: the gradual and incremental de-emphasis of the Bobby Baker "lead" in the context of a dual-guitar, five-piece rock outfit. Something changed somewhere along the line, and it happened earlier in the band's tenure rather than later.

Anyway...."Fight" is the only song I'm chasing. Having seen somewhere in the ballpark of 60 shows, I've seen almost every studio cut performed; if I haven't seen something, I obviously don't care enough about it to know that I haven't. There's a possibility that I even DID see them do "Fight" somewhere here in Ohio in the very early '90s, yet somehow do not recall? I doubt it, but it's possible.

And I cannot check setlists, because few exist for those earlier shows in the states....

When you put in all your shows on thehip.com concerts/song stats, you might see it there assuming all or most of the setlists are available for.your shows, I was lucky too catch Fight on ara 95

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Thanks Summit...I've tried to assemble my list there... but many of those early 90's shows - especially those here in the midwestern states - don't have setlists attached... and some shows aren't even listed. I remember sending MAv info from a few old ticket stubs just to get 'em onto the show archive...

I believe alot of TheHip.com database came from the old Hipbase database.
The Hip never kept a good track of shows or setlists.
I believe TheHip.com's list is a continuation of old bootleg sites that Hipbase incorporated together.

It was Thugs until I finally caught it on the last tour in Hamilton, now it's Opiated and/or Emperor Penguin.
