Songs Played on 2012 Tour by album - including stats

With Inch an Hour being played last night in DC, the Hip have played all but 3 songs from Day for Night already this tour! What's the possibility of a complete album by the end of the tour? Titanic Terrium seems possible but not so sure about Emergency and Impossibilium

I REALLY want to hear Impossibilium, but I don't think it's in the cards. It's interesting to note they haven't played much M@W; I was expecting more songs like Lake Fever, or Putting Down, but they haven't really touched that album at all.

Tiger the Lion rocked in 2009.
I also think Sharks and Freak Turbulence should make an appearance or two someday (but alas I haven't been hired as the setlist writer / fanboy boob yet)

Sharks would be awesome. I wonder if they're waiting to pull out more songs later during the tour. Man I wish I was able to go see every show, it just seems like they're pulling something crazy out every night. I guess I should be glad that I'm going to 2 shows, especially considering I'm leaving the wife at home with the 3 kids, including a 7 month old!

Impossibilium hasn't been played in 17 years. Emergency, never.

Stranger things have happened.

Emergency was played once - I was there - it was at a benefit show for a music industry guy who died and The Hip and The Pursuit of Happiness played a show at The Phoenix in Toronto to raise money for his family - i can't remember his name - it was just before Day For Night came out but they absolutely played it. I have the ticket to the show and will post it when I find it.

I wonder if The Hip has ever even rehearsed Emergency or Impossibilium anytime in the last several tours? Thugs, Titantic T and IOD make appearences now and then but the other two....not even on the radar. I like both personally. Cool tunes. Emergency is quite swanky, would have to be in just the right place in the set but it could work. Impossibilium would rock just about any place in the set.

I'm with ya on that one!

Hopefully they are not done pulling out album cuts. Seems like there hasn't been anything new (album cuts) in a few shows.

My realistic wishlist for Detroit includes:

Pigeon Camera
Something On
Cordelia (I know I'm dreaming on this one)
Toronto #4
Emperor Penquin
38 Years Old

Here are some general observations of the first dozen shows:
1. Most shows are 18 songs in length with a 6 song encore.
2. Half of the songs played have appeared in the encore at some point
3. Only 5 songs have been played at every show - ABAC, At Transformation, Man Machine Poem, Streets Ahead, We Want To Be It
4. Every Song from Now For Plan A has been played live. The next most played albums are...Day For Night (9 songs), Fully Completely (7 songs), Road Apples (6 songs), Phantom Power (6 songs), Trouble At The Henhouse (5 songs), World Container (4 songs), We Are The Same (3 songs), Music @ Work (2 songs), Up To Here (2 songs), IBE (2 songs), IVL (1 song)
5. Half of the songs played appeared on albums up to and including Trouble At The Henhouse, the other half from Phantom Power through NFPA.
6. So far Poets, NOIS and M@W have only been played at 50% of the shows, while ABAC has been played at every show and 100th Meridian, BobC and In View at approx 75% of the shows.

Personally I hope they play more of IVL (Dire Wolf, Darkest One, The Dark Canuck), IBE (Vaccination Scar, Are We Family) and it would be really nice if they played more of M@W (Sharks, The Completists, The Bear, Stay, Putting Down, Toronto#4, Wild Mountain Honey - all great and criminally underplayed songs IMO).

I also think that based on the setlists so far if you have complaints about them then barring creating your own setlist, you probably will never like another Hip show again.

Songs that I'd expect to appear at some point this tour, if only just once:

Something On
Vapour Trails
Dire Wolf

Fingers crossed, but not optimistic:
Opiated

Emperor Penguin
The Bear
Are We Family
Depression Suite (The Rock)
