You know, I always thought they made decent records, but I never understood what the big deal was about their live show. I saw them twice, and both times they were kinda dull.

Funny, but I've had people say the exact same thing to me about the Hip over the years...:rambo:
Obviously, to each their own, but in the shows I've seen, they've been great live...The only exception being the NYD ACC show in 2000, but I chalk that up to the fact they (and every other opening act on the bill) used a "B" level sound system...
Also, every band has an off night every now and then (even the Hip have had the occasional ho-hum show over the years)...With this being their last tour together, I doubt very much the upcoming shows will fit this category, however...

I've always thoroughly enjoyed The Watchmen live. "Live Radar" is a four song recording that is available on most file sharing programs, and it gives a good sense of what the band is like live. And MikeS is right, every band can have an off night; perhaps you just caught them on those nights. That's a shame because they really are a great band! If you can, catch them on this final tour.

Mike, thanks for the link..I did know about the Buffalo show. I can see how everyone would be upset that they would play their final show here..
Now, here is the deal..we still want to go to Toronto BUT we now can go to Buffalo..if any of you know someone who really wants to go to the Toronto show and didnt get tickets, I would be willing to give them up. It is only fair.
Let me know if I can help anyone. We do have 4 tickets, and we would love to keep our 2..but I will help someone out if they need it.
