It's normally first on the turntable on a sunday, before the better half subjects me to a ton of Dylan!

Currently bidding on a copy of Up To Here too...

The EP that is up on ebay is the orignal RCA presssing and relatively hard to come by...very nice sounding. Don't spend too much on UTH. It's the easiest Hip vinyl to find and comes up quite often in NM or sealed condition. Road Apples is an absolute must have, however the cost to get one has really gone up recently. Have a look out for RA locally. There is a heavier vinyl German pressing that comes up in the UK and Germany from time to time. Good luck

Ah, I'll be paying a decent price for Up To Here, postage will sting a bit though...

I'd love a copy of Road Apples though, but I've not seen one for sale in the UK/Europe in the last year!

i cant stress enough how much better sounding vinyl is. i mean, we all know thats a fact. if you have a good turntable, a high quality needle, and a great soundsystem, you're in for a treat, especially with hip albums. my copy of S/T has no pops or hiss, it sounds like im standing in the studio back in 87, listening to the boys wail away. my most treasured item is in fact the sealed copy of S/T that i had the boys autograph when i met them all in '03. it will be proudly displayed on my wall for life.

a great place to check for stuff too is yard sales and antique stores. i came across a box of 45's from a jukebox that someone had brought it, it was being sold as a lot, the whole box for $20. there was probably about 40-50 45's, including smalltown bringdown/highway girl. was worth the $20 for that alone!
