I dunno, it just seems like everytime I drive over the Peace Bridge, I can count on my fingers the number of seconds it takes until I see something on fire and/or recently charred. :lol:


Just kidding Buffalonians (is that the correct term?)...any place with chicken wings that good is okay in my books :thumb:

Back on topic though, if I was a betting man I'd say the magic number for an Eastern Conference playoff berth is going to be 92, or maybe even 93 points. With last night's OT loss to bring them to 85, that would mean the Leafs will need to earn at least 7 out of their remaining possible 10 points.
If the Leafs can manage to keep pace until then, it could very well come down to the Leafs-Habs game on April 7 to determine which of those two makes it. Let's just hope it doesn't go to a shootout.

What I really love is only worrying about winning the Presidents trophy while teams like Atlanta are taking the life out of the Leafs playoff chances. Guess what leaf fans. If you didnt blow a 3 goal 3rd period lead in Buffalo you would be sitting pretty in a playoff spot this morning. The funny thing is we probably wont even need those points to keep our #1 position that we have held all year.

And I do hope that if the Sabres do win one trophy this year, it is the utterly useless President's Trophy. That's the one you definitely want to "worry about".

I'll explain this once again. Sports fans when talking about the teams they root for often use the term "we" when identifying their team. Its not the first time it has happened. I will continue to use the term "we" when talking about the sabres or bills. Hell I will even use it when talking about the Buffalo Bandits, Boston Red Sox and the Buffalo Bisons. Consequently I will use the term "you" or "you guys" when refering to the adverse team. (i.e. The Leafs, Montreal Canadiens etc..) Does that clear it up for you?

Not quite. See, I'm a sports fan, and I never use "we" to convince myself that, you know, I'm with the team. Some people use it once in a while, and then you have other people who use it all the time, while they're slagging fans of other teams as losers.

Maybe it's a maturity thing?

Anyway, some people act that way.

When their team's winning, that is.

Just remember, there's a lifetime of mockery waiting for you when the wheels fall off and you start calling the Sabres "them" instead of "us."
