I was at the Leaf game last night, and something weird happened.....

I don't think I've ever heard a Belak chant before

The best pro-Belak thing I've ever seen is a guy in Ottawa with a sign that said "There's only room for 1 Wade in this town" which was written underneath a big picture of Belak...it was priceless.

i don`t think tootoo should have been suspended either. maybe a double minor or 5 min major and robidas getting 2 for charging or instigating....also,why didn`t modano get a penalty for whacking him across the back with his stick after he was flattened?....on another note....ottawa sure got some fortuitous breaks against the blues last night :x

If by fortuitous you mean the Blues getting 4 straight power plays in the 3rd...then yeah, Ottawa sure is lucky.

No, by fortuitous he means that St. Louis scored two legit goals that weren't counted. Bad refereeing. Not surprising seeing as Mr. Magoo was involved in the game.

You mean 0 legit goals, on top of the 2 legit goals they scored. Had they been legitimate, they would have been included in the score.

No, they would have counted if not for incompetent refereeing. Take off your rose coloured glasses. If the Sens scored twice and neither goal counted, you'd be on here whining about the Sens getting screwed.

If the Sens scored a goal by pushing a goalie into the crease, then it isn't a goal. If the Sens score and it isn't called before play resumes, then it isn't a goal. If the Sens are persecuted against by giving the Blues 4 straight power plays in the 3rd, then it's a short-handed goal

I'm looking forward to seeing Luongo in the playoffs - will he be a Marty Turco (awesome in the regular season, brutal in the playoffs) or a Marty Brodeur (flat out awesome anytime, anywhere)?

Indeed. The Linden of 94 was a great player. But I think you are more likely to see Scarlett Johansson naked in your bed than you are to see the Linden of '94 again.
