I am deeply concerned with the standard the NHL has adopted that seems to allow violent hits to the head.
But please ignore the fact that the coach that I employ then iced a line of goons who were specifically instructed to "run" the other team's star players, which can only be construed as intent to injure.
Sincerely,
B. Thomas Golisano,
King Hypocrite
Are the Sabres supposed to do what cowardly Ottawa would do? Nothing? Just let their captain get hit from behind. Well,. they did leave their gaolie out on his own. Great great team loyalty. The "run" that Ruff ordered did SO much damage. In the end, Buffalo loses their captain. Ottawa only losses the game. What justice.
Is it ok for Neil to say in the media that he intends to hurt players?
Is it ok for Murray to say that if the league doesn't handle this, his players will?
Not only does Murray lack tongue control, he is a hypocrite, recall Anaheim/Calgary 2001? Who did Sylvester send out in that brawl?
As for the ridiculous fine by another hypocrite, Colin Campbell, I'm sure Golisano will pay that for Ruff with pocket scraps. So Campbell, Lindy Ruff has intent to injury with a line change, but Neil doesn't with a hit to the head from behind, with shoulder pads of steel? No respect for a person in a vulnerable position with his back turned? No wonder nobody in mainstream U.S. sports media takes hockey seriously. Who were you appeasing this time? Keep ruining this great sport, Campbell.
Justice will be served in mid-April when the Sens are eliminated from the first round due to the typical performance of Emery and the lack of heart, toughness and and teamwork of the Sens.
And once again in June when the Sabres drink from the cup.
I love watching the replay of Muckler after Pomminville scored the eliminator.
Through all this adversity, the Sabres continue to lead the the league in points and wins.
No excuses here. :thumb:
