A sign of things to come for cities left off of the current Canadian tour?

I'm sure they'll do their usual cross-Canada summer festival tour, but for the first time in my life I've decided I won't be participating. I'm still holding out hope for a 2nd leg of U.S. dates later this year. The Hip are still my favorite band of all time, and I'll go see these guys in a small club or theatre at the drop of a hat. But I'm done with the big arena/festival thing.

Yeah, I think I'm at the same place now. If I get a chance to see them in the States again (Indy in '07 was amazing) or if they play a theatre in Canada, I'll go. I think I'm done paying the big money for the big shows.

You know where they put on a good outdoor show without m(any) restrictions to fun/VIP sections et al... The Highland Bowl in Rochester, NY.... If The Hip are scheduled there, I would recommend it to everyone... and I'm talking as far away as Ottawa, maybe even east coasters if they can tie in a VT show or something... Beautiful venue... low hassles if you know what I mean.. lots of hotels... No beer prisons... just buy and go... like it should be...

Couple of us were just talking about this show Saturday night. Probably my most memorable show, but I couldn't tell you what the band played. From trying to find a vegan something to eat on the menu at Chili's to the girl who was able to remove her underwear without taking her pants off in the middle of a Walmart (in a post-show attempt to get dry), this was a day for the books.

An incredible venue for an outdoor show. I hope to visit again in the middle of a drought.

Does anyone have the link for the July 25th Harris Park - Rock The Park pre-sale on Feb. 14th? I'm not seeing link/details, or maybe I'm blind.

Any news about the Hip touring Europe after the ACC show? I haven't heard anything...but I want to see them again in Brussels, Amsterdam and maybe London again.

Ok. My prayers have been answered. That was quick. June is a long way away though. But now if they would only play Munich...the Arkells are doing it so why can't they??
