well...how long til the Bell Centre itself collapses? any wagers? /

I can't believe what a good sense of humour i'm managing to keep about this...

[ryan93]

It looks like it's Scottie Upshall, Ryan Parent, and a 1st & 3rd round picks (which will likely be the 30th & 90th picks in what is supposed to be a weak draft) for Forsberg.

[direwolf74]

Peter Forsberg might be a Nashville Predator.

I think it's safe to say that the Preds are already the Cup favorite in the west, and now they want Forsberg? Yikes. As a Flames fan, the thought of meeting that team in the playoffs scares the hell out of me.

Vokoun hasn't proven anything. I'd pick Anaheim over Nashville 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. I'd probably give Calgary a slight edge over them also. Ugh, did I just say that? Yes, I really did. :rambo:

Well, with Forsberg the Preds might be too much for Calgary but I still think the Ducks could take them. Pronger is an animal. :rambo: :rambo:

The Ducks will have to play a lot better than they have the past month & a half though. They lost again tonight (to Phoenix no less), which gives them 4 straight losses. Anaheim has only won 5 of their last 18 games.

I still like the Ducks though, and i think they have as good a shot as anyone to come out of the West. I think they need to add another offensive threat though.

They'll be fine.

How the mighty have fallen...after tonight's games, a quick check of the Eastern conference standings reveals they're now behind the lowly Toronto Maple Leafs

yes, technically they're tied in points, but the Leafs have a game in hand

Ugh...another embarrassing effort from the Flames tonight. It's a damn good thing we're still 8 points up on the last playoff spot. Here's hoping the real Calgary Flames finally show up on Saturday.

Pronger may be a rotten person for leaving Edmonton but he's the best defenseman in the NHL. :rambo:

I was looking at the espn's scoreboard and i thought it said it was 4-2 Yotes with 1 minute left in the 3rd, but i realized a few minutes later it was only the 2nd period.
