The Tragically Hip - Live and Intimate from the Bathouse Stu

tootragic Wrote:one of my favourite parts is when george and gord are playing snooker and both Robbie and Paul both have to move out of their way so they could shoot - all while playing Bobcaygeon - classic - if you heard that song on the radio - you would never believe it was being played while they played snooker.

sounds like Paul is quite the "shark"

Thompson was the full band

how was the turn out for all of you?

there were no more than 15-20 people at colossus in vaughan....maybe if a euro techno cd was being released more people would have showed up knowing that area lol.

OK.

In no particular order - and perhaps missing one or two:

The Depression Suite - opened the show
Thompson Girl - in the kitchen where they recorded it.
Music At Work - in the kitchen, full band
Bobcaygeon - Gord sang while beating George in a game of Snooker. Gord even kept the score!!!
Escape Is At Hand... - talked about Material Issue
Courage - Courage My Love, in Kensington Market - Toronto
Morning Moon - about looking out across the lake from the Bathouse
Love Is A First
The Last Recluse -
Now The Struggle Has A Name - about Residential Schools, PM Harpers apology.
Coffee Girl
Country Day - while the credits rolled

Jim Bryson on keys - will be joining them on tour...

Great turnout at the Queensway - 75% full I'd say.

Oh my god SO SWEET!

Ya I would say around 40-50 people at waterloo cineplex.
LOVED bobcaygen while they were playing pool. Acoustic version of Music @ Work was amazing too.

OH and LOVE IS A FIRST! I was dying to see how they would play that out live... SO SWEET!! Baker ripped up that guitar solo... all I can say is I am so pumped for Kitchener shows.

So glad I decided to wait till now to listen to the album... Giving it its 1st run through now.

I would say over a hundred people in the falls
And my FREAKIN recorder was left home sitting on the table next to my sweatshirt.

At the Cambridge Galaxy Cinema at the mall there had to be about 60 to 75 people there. It was strange after they finished songs it was quiet. I felt like I should stand up and clap but didnt want to be the first or weirdest.

People clapped after every track at Queensway. It was a bit of a golf clap, but good nonetheless.

There was applause at my theatre.

That was absolutely fantastic. Its true that Gords mic was up way to high in some places and Paul and other Gords mics weren't up enough. I actually enjoyed strombo for once. The bathouse looks amazing and I love the cd. What an awesome night. acoustic Music @ Work and bobcaygeon with snooker. Couldn'tve been better....well couldve been longer I suppose but thats how the cookie crumbles. People were clapping at our theatre also. Y&E in Toronto with about 50ish people?

Yonge and Eglinton was probably half full, but people clapped between songs which was quite nice.

I too really hope this comes out on DVD.

Ya stellar everything has been said the only thing is I wish it was longer and got to meet some fellow Hipbasers :thumb:

Some clapping and I whistled as loud as I could which is pretty loud.

How about Gord's rant in LIAF awesome!

want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone
