Just in case nobody noticed, Brodeur got his 8th, yes, 8th SO last night. 8 SO is amazing for an entire season. Brodeur is freaking unreal.

Does Murray River have a rec league this year? They have a team playing with us in Belfast.


And yeah, i don't really agree with a lot of the all-star selections...for example, why Eric Staal over teammate Rod Brind'Amour??

No rec league this year in Murray River. What is the name of the team? I know some guys who play old timers and their is a team playing in Pownal.

And it was also his 28th win...at his pace he'll get close to 50 this year. The 1.99 Goals against and .929 save pct aren't too shabby either. Well on his way to another Vezina, and maybe even the Hart too.

I watched the Rangers/Devils game last night, and it was one of the best goaltending duels i've seen this season. Both Henrik Lundqvist (losing to the NJ Devils for the first time in his career) and Marty Brodeur were sensational. The Devils outplayed the Rangers for the majority of the game, but Lundqvist kept them in it. At the other end, Brodeur made the saves when he had to, and he came up huge in the final 10 minutes with the Rangers pressing. Brodeur deserved the shut-out.

They just go by Murray River, although they are really a combination of mostly younger guys from Murray River and Montague (Willie Ferguson, Bradley Kerwin, Robert Harris, etc.)

Oh, you may be right.. even if it's not a rule per se, it's still the thing to do IMO.. the game should 'involve' all the teams.. even though I don't watch it and thinks it's a waste of time. :lol:

I think they want some rep from as many teams as possible. How else does Gagne make it and Afinagenov not? Or a lot of other forwards for that matter.

It's a shame Lundqvist played so well, yet the goal he let in was a weak one.

anyone interested in the upcoming all-star game? i don;t find anything special about it but i will be tunnning in this year to watch crosby and ovechkin play on the same line, thats going to be something to see. especially with briere on the same line a month or so after ovechkin very stupidly crossed checked him. my money is on the east.

I might watch the Skills Competition but All-Star weekend is a waste in reality. The players would probably rather have a few days to rest and the game is slower than when I play shinny in Murray River. Smile

Is The All-Star game even on a weekend? My Leafs schedule has them playing on every Saturday night.....
