grimes Wrote:PSA for those still looking for Toronto tickets:
I just got back from the ACC box office where I picked up my will call tickets. There was a separate line for people waiting to buy tickets if they became available. Apparently, shortly before I got there (which was just before 1pm), they started selling from a block of obstructed view seats for tonight at the bottom of section 101/102. I spoke to a guy who said he got there at 7:30am this morning, and was about 10th in line (he heard the first person showed up at 5:30). He was able to buy a pair. As I left they were still selling from that block (max 2 per person), and there were another 50 or so people in the line. It was unclear how many tickets were available at that point. One of the staff said it was possible more tickets would be released closer to the show, but they couldn't say when or how many.
This info may be too late for tonight, but if you want to go Sunday, you might consider getting up early and spending Sunday morning hanging out in a line at the ACC box office...
Me and my buddy got tickets for Wednesday's show in the will call line. We arrived just after 6:00 pm, there were about 15-20 people in front of us, you can't tell if they want a pair between them, or a pair each. One or two standing room singles came available in the first hour, and most people pass on them so they get pushed down the line, several people also left the line, because of frustration, or they scored tix another way. Around 7:30 the drop came, there were pairs of rear stage being released. We got sec. 114, row 28 which was the last row, $100 per ticket. I was very pleased with this, the sound was great and we were still close. I had rear stage at the Gardens once so I knew what to expect, I'd rather sit there than the lonely end of the rink, the sound is definitely better closer to the stage. At 7:00 passed, the goal was just to get in to hear the show. There was a lady with a kid in line, she got a pair, and this scalper who kept checking in with her all of a sudden appeared again and bought a pair. He obviously made a deal with her, or she was hired to get him both pairs. Funny also, there were several people in front of us who passed on the tickets we got in hopes that better seats would appear, wonder what happened. No idea of how many pairs were sold after we got ours, by this time the line was long, maybe 60-75 people deep.
Everybody enjoy tonight, and good luck if you don't have a seat, I hope you can find a way!
