I just checked - and I selected the internet users discount - it gave me $111.00

I've heard of good prices to be had using Priceline, such as the Hyatt for under $50.

this is the best site for finding a hotel:
www.kayak.com
You don't actually buy from this site, it directs you to the best deal.
You can stay at the Adam's Mark for $111 total or the Hyatt for $115 total (these are the best hotels in Buffalo where the visiting sports teams stay)
The closest hotel is the comfort suites downtown (5 store fronts from the town ballroom on the corner of Chippewa and Main - $118 total.
If you want cheaper, you can stay in Amherst or Tonawanda for $60-$80 (15 min. drive)

The Hyatt is on Main street, down a block further past Chippewa.

the comfort inn is the place to stay in buffalo, its a block away from the venue and its cheap. Usually they give a discount if a concert is going on.

I have an extra Rochester ticket that I can trade for a Friday night Buffalo show. I am lucky enough to go to Saturday night show, but would love to go Friday too (will prob go check out scalpers or see if they'll let us in the bar area without a ticket -- did that for Sam Roberts). Can't blame a girl for trying!
Also, if you sign up for www.1077thelake.com (107.7), they are having a big ticket giveaway and to meet the band. Sign up under Lake community, then under the music you like to listen to link.
Also, Hip are playing a "free" acoustic show at FYE
music store in McKinley Mall Sat March 10 at 2 pm. I
called, and I'm guessing people will start lining up at 10
am to be lucky enough to get in (I'm sure there will be a space limit). You have to buy their new CD there to get it
autographed (ie stand in line forever!) I might go, so if you want to try to find me in line, I'm petite, reddish hair, black glasses, and will be wearing a black down jacket with blue/black floral knit hat.

I got Rochester and Sat Night tickets.
Hotels- I would check the Hampton Inn on Delaware at the Chip strip for a good rate. That Comfort Suite is a good place use to be a Ramada. 2 Room suites with a sleeper sofa for that drunk canadian buddy that never has any money or he spent it on an American chick that he thinks would love to move to canada to be his wife .
If you are going to drink I would say pay the extra money and stay here as anywhere else would be a drive and the cost of a DWI is much more then a little extra coin for a room.
