PS3s, Wiis and ticket scalpers

wpghipfan Wrote:Well, glory be, people were getting $7000-8000 for their PRE-ORDERS... basically, for a receipt. Well, I ask you: who, in their right mind, with a two and a half year old daughter who deserves the best Christmas ever, would not want to take advantage of something like that? We decided to put our PS3 up for auction, starting the bids at $679, the exact price we bought it for. I only had intentions of getting my money back, in all honesty.

You only had intentions of getting your money back? Funny.. After all, "who in their right mind.."

Not saying what you did is wrong or immoral, etc., just saying you're contradicting yourself.

I'll be getting a PS3 tommorow and I plan on selling it. I didn't intend on getting it but a deal fell into my lap. Hope to make at least the money back for costs, time, and effort put into acquiring it. Someone who wants to pay for it will have a nice xmas gift. Smile

I don't like Christmas much at all. It's all about material things and little about the birth of Christ. I don't need or really want any gifts or anything at Christmas. I wish more people were decent around this time. There are traffic jams and people getting rough with each other over what? Really, over what? Material possessions for their family and friends. Forget that. Count me out as somebody who gets excited around Christmas time.

i love christmas...charlie brown special, the dean martin christmas cd, and all that shit.....i found the "true" meaning of christmas 2 years ago when my dad was in the hospital after his stroke....it brought us closer together than ever before, and i realized that it's not where you are, or what you get, or what you're getting for somebody else..it's realizing who is important to you, and cherishing every moment you can, cause you don't know when it will end....
