This may be extremely awkward for me: meeting people that I know through Hipbase in real life...
hasn't really happened yet. I can see myself being very shy in this situation. Oh well, I'm REALLY excited for Thursday and Friday! 3/4 of my summer paycheck is going towards this trip!

I would love to meet up with Hipbasers for once. Show off my Hipbase shirt.
Any plans for a meetup yet? I don't know Montreal at all.

I'm there on thursday night. MAv...I know the boys don't do requests, but if there's any way to get 'Locked in the trunk...' into the setlist on thursday night, I'd be eternally grateful. That song seems to avoid me like the plague. (Which is mildly frustrating, since it's my favourite song.)

Does anyone suggest a good time to show up at the venue in order to get a good view? I've never been to the Metropolis, and am wondering if I should head straight for the balcony. (Only 5'4")

wait wait wait. lets get back to the cheap pitchers of beer and a rowdy hipbase meetup,
Angels Wings, you can come ill make sure you are front row, I'm a professional Tragically Hip Line Budder.
Here are some key tips:
a) wear a canadian flag as a cape
b) chant hip hip hip hip, and when other people chant with you, bud in front of them. repeat.
c) get large cups of beer and wobble them to force people to move out of the way

Now that's funny!
From the sounds of it, I will be in the back row with a 6'5" guy in front of me.
