I'm really quite partial to Skittlebrau.

If they happen to be out of Skittlebrau, I'll usually go for Heineken on tap...so delicious. The bottles are good too, but every now and then you'll get a case of the "green bottle skunkies" Last time I was in Montreal they served Heineken in those hard aluminum bottles. I never saw something like that before.

I know taste is very subjective and all, but I would drink a wine spritzer before I subjected my taste buds to 1 more ounce of Steamwhistle...it was THE most vile beer I have ever tried in my life...and remember, I'm from Sudbury and was raised on Northern Ale and Labatt 50 (which is very popular now...becuase it's not cool)

Carling tends to be my lager of choice, followed by Fosters, Budweiser (draught if at all possible ) San Miguel and Kronenburg. Stella Artois is awful! Molson X is rather pleasant as well. :thumb:

Bitter: Brains Smooth is gorgeous, but sadly very difficult to get hold of outside of Wales. Harvey's (my local brew) is great.

I also like Guinness, but it gives me a stinking headache afterwards sadly.

our carling is NOTHING like your carling. when i visited the UK years ago i was drinking carling -- with its lovely black/white can -- like it was going out of style. our carling is of the buck-a-beer variety and it's toxic. ya gotta plug your nose to down it.

we were at the reading festival (2001ish?) and my favourite band was to hit the second stage at something like 2 p.m.
so we were near the front gates and this man just kept yelling "ice cold lagah! get yer ice cold lagah here!" and it was only like a pound a can. it was all carling. this was still the morning but i was so stoked to see the band i kept coming back every 10 minutes...great beer...great looking can...awesome!

and then when i came home i said "i'm buying some carling" and it was swill.

how much would shipping be? :lol:
