As far as the Cowboys go - I am one of the biggest Cowboys fans in Canada and know alot about the NFL. I'd love to argue in this discussion and explain why T.O is a great pick up for big D, but when I read people saying that they hate the Cowboys for no reason and then saying in the same breath that they hope the Cowboys play Philly in the upcoming season, I realize that there is no point.

I guess I'll let you in on my 2 cents then:
the reason why this is such an amazing signing for the Cowboys is because of their coach. Bill Parcells is the only coach in the world who can handle and take care of the likes of T.O. Look at Keyshawn. When he came to big D, he had a bad history with the Bucs and the Jets. But as soon as Parcells took control of him, you didn't hear a negative word out of the guy's mouth all year. Sure, T.O will want to do some stuff he'll regret in training camp with all of the media surrounding him. And if he does, Parcells will take care of it and it will never happen again.
cferneyh - sure I am used to people hating on my team and it obviously doesn't bug me as I face it everyday, but when I hear somebody say that they hate the Cowboys then say something like they hope that they play philly this season, they just come across as someone who knows nothing about football and are just following the crowd, That's all....

One quick note....Parcells and Keyshawn already had a rapport from there Jets days, and I'm hoping none of us has forgotten his "get me the damn ball remarks". The only reason the reunion really worked was Keyshawn realizing...damn I sure did a lot better under Parcells being "his guy"..than he did under Gruden in Tampa. Keyshawn was begging to be the go to guy again, and had that shot in Dallas.
As a Cowboys fan I hope this works out. For his Ego...TO is the go to man in Dallas right now, Glenn is getting a wee bit old, and their young guys aren't superstars by any means. So long as Bledsoe has the time to "get him the damn ball" TO will be happy.
As far as Parcells goes, they win he stays, they lose "too many distractions" will have him on the way out the door at the end of his extension next year.

I am not inferring that Andy Reid was the problem with T.O. I'm saying that Andy Reid allowed all of this to happen under his wing. Now that he is under Parcell's wing, Parcells will stop any distractions involving T.O before they arise and become public.
Personally, I don't care if Parcells will be there for the duration of T.O's contract. Everybody already knows that the second the Cowboys win the Super bowl, if it happens, Parcells will pull a Bettis and retire on the spot. After that, T.O will be happy and will have nothing to complain about.
And after Parcell's contract is up and is no longer the coach of the Cowboys, there will be a new, young quarterback in Big D after Bledsoe, Tossing T.O the touchdown balls.
So even in time, everythingf will be fine in Dallas, with T.O and the Cowboys.

1) The Cowboys already have a great core and T.O along with another corner will be the final piece of the puzzle. T.O doesnt't win the super Bowl, he helps the Cowboys win the Super Bowl.
2)T.O is a born winner. He's already got the $$$ in that thing called a contract that he signed on Saturday. All that's left is to be the great wide receiver that he is and score TD's.
3)By the time Parcells retires, he will already have a lasting effect on T.O that will carry on to the next coach whoever he may be.
4)There's always this year's draft to pick up a good young, solid QB and develop him for a few more years. Also, there's also these things called trades and free agent signings - note the sarcasm. Also with the newly found success that is just around the corner for Dallas, elite, Pro Bowl QB's are going to want to come and sign on with the Cowboys when Bledsoe retires. Who wouldn't want to throw to Terry Glenn, Jason Witten and Terrell Owens???

Did you watch a single Cowboys game last year? Other than the game at FedEX field vs the Redskins, every game came down to the wire and they never lost by more than a TD in any game including games vs Denver, Seattle (NFC champs) and the Giants X2.
In your second paragraph, you should change all of your "haves" to "hads". Now that they have T.O, the opposition will concentrate more on the WR's, allowing for Barber and Jones to breakthrough this season. With the signing of Fantini from the Jets, an excellent pass protector, it's alright if Bledsoe is immobile. He'll give Drew more time in the pocket to find Terry and Terrell.
Sure, T.O has had a history of being a "whiner" in the past, and I truly believe that he turns that around and becomes a winner. And if that doesn't happen in Dallas then it won't happen anywhere and there will be alot of very dissappointed fans everywhere. The Cowboys have given Terrell everything he wants off the field, now it is time for him to give the Cowboys everything he has on the field. And if he doesn't, then he doesn't deserve to play football anywhere, in my opinion.
I'd advise you to be a little optimistic, bud - cause in the back of your mind I know that you know that this is a great new beginning for T.O and the Dallas Cowboys for now and for years to come. And if you can't be optimistic about the situation then I am guaranteeing that you are either a jealous Giants or Redskins fan.
