There is a ton of irony at Celine Dion's "performance" being broadcast from Vegas (of all places) in a concert billed to highlight global poverty. How much is she making from her Vegas stint again?

Also, it looks like Tourism Toronto is to blame for the show not happening in Toronto:

A spokesman in Mayor David Miller's office said yesterday that the city had asked Tourism Toronto, the travel promotion group, whether it would make up the cost difference between staging the concert in Toronto and staging it in Barrie. But that group declined, the spokesman said.

As for the American acts on the bill, I think it's beyond ridiculous that Motley Crue and Deep Purple are playing.

I was very surprised when I read that they were playing. I thought it was a joke at first.
By the way, Deep Purple is a British band.

Well, it told me after I waited for 10 minutes that there are no tickets left. If anyone was able to get tickets and won't be using them, let me know.

LOL. I suppose everybody could just throw them at the screen. And for all of you who are going to this show, I'm gonna be disappointed if I don't see any bottles being hurled at Motley Crue. C'mon folks, I know you can do it!

The article appears to have disappeared, but wasn't there some Toronto Star writer who complained about how bad the Barrie lineup was? Yet viewership in Canada destroyed viewership in any other country, especially per capita, especially compared to the US (only 3 million?!?!?!). Anyway, as usual the media is as clueless.
