Cant wait for the new White Stripes. I think it drops in the middle of June. New Pornographers and BSS have albums out this year. I think Amy from the Stars has a solo album coming out too.

I read somewhere that Broken Social Scene has anough material for 3 albums and will release them all within a year or so.

I'd start with Shake Hands With Shorty, or 51 Phantom. Don't get Polaris first, good album but not what the band is about. Live at Bonaroo is amazing as well but I would try one of the first two I mentioned first, then go for the live album.

Good luck, enjoy, give them some time too, like a good Hip album NMAS will grow on you.

I got both Matt Mays CDs last week after I saw them open for Blue Rodeo. I just loved the band live (and I usually like to know a few songs before I go see a group play) and the Cd with El Torpedo, in particular, has a lot of good stuff on it.

And the new Blue Rodeo one is great, too. But then, Blue Rodeo usually is.

sorry if this has already been mentioned somewhere on here, but I heard on the radio yesterday that the Foo Fighters are planning on releasing a double album in the new year, or maybe late in the year. One disc will be a rocker and the other will be more mellow, and they will be playing 2 shows per city to correspond with the album. One show will be a rockin' arena show with the material from the harder disc, and the other show will be a small intimate club show with material from the mellow disc. Should be awesome.

p.s. they also mentioned on the radio that Weezer might tour with the Foos on this tour.

I'm certainly looking forward to the new Foo Fighters release. Anyone hear the first single yet? I think it's called The Best of You... anyway it is seriously kicking my ass right now!

I really like that new single also!
Robert Plants new one is great too...although, the radio stations are starting to play it TOO often!

I finally heard the new Foo's song, its cool..I cant wait for that double album I think its a cool idea half rock half acoustic. But the best song right now is Speed Of Sound the new Coldplay track, I love it!! :thumb:
