those are his friends. it would be clearly a different story if someone accused you with no proof and your life is hanging by a thread and the false accuser hiding behind the "victum" friendly system.
he used poor judgement to sleep with a chick one night. anyone can make that choice. all she has to do is turn around 2 months later (when she gets mad at you) and you go down. who knows why she acused him? he probably wanted nothing to do with her, so "she'll make him PAY"

The "system" isnt what you think it is, mr. rogers. First of all, a prosecutor had to get a grand jury to indict Kobe on the rape charge, so even a bumbling idiot like the Eagle County prosecutor has to have some convincing evidence to get that far. Second, it's a system where those with a agenda and/or grudge (radical feminists claiming all sex is rape, men who think its their right to demand sex, etc) can't run the discovery process or trial. If the woman was just out for cash from Kobe, all she had to do was claim sexual harrassment and file a civil suit, without involving the criminal justice system. And turnabout is fair play, if Kobe could prove he was a victim of malicious prosecution, he could file a civil rights suit and nail the woman, the prosecutor and the city of Eagle for massive amounts of money. No sane prosecutor is going to tempt those odds. My opinion is that Kobe put the moves on the woman,either she consented and then things turned ugly or she didnt and he felt it was his right to have her. Either way, neither one of these people come out of this looking like angels.

anyone else getting really tired of pro athletes? i would love to see all the professional leagues go belly up and start from scratch again. how great would it be to see guys like kobe and 10+mil guys "suffering" & playing for 100G a year? surely i can`t be the only one pissed about all of these leagues raping me for my dollar to pay these guys obscene amounts of money to live the lifestyles they do
