Chris,
Glad to see you are making the trip to Cleveland.
Be ready for the Detroit presale. The Fox Theater holds 5000 people, but many of the best tickets are already purchased by season ticket holders. The automated response I got regarding online presales from TicketMaster stated there are a limited number of seats set aside for any online presale. I predict that the Detroit show will sell out after one day of regular sales.
I garuntee you will have an interesting time with me and my crew in Detroit. Then its on to Cleveland. I've been to the Flats in Cleveland and it is a very cool and fun area. I've never been to The Odeon but from the description I just read I can't wait.

Sorry to say Dick's and most places on that side of the Flats have closed.
There is still a BW-3 a few feet away from the Odeon. Sadly the Flats in Cleve is a dying area....anyone needing directions or any other help Pm me I am very familiar with the area since I lived there (now in the burbs)
See you all there!

First I can't make Darien because of a show, now I can't make this because of my dad's show; thus, I have no ride.
This better not be the last time they play the Odeon. It's one of my favorite venues.
Grr.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good / cheap hotels in Cleveland (preferably close to the venue, aka downtown)?

Try priceline.com. I've used it three times this summer and have been quite satisfied. You can pick a general location and there are decent maps to help out.

The odeon is the one of the best places to see the hip. There is a sports bar next to the bar and everybody from Buffalo will be there watching the Bills. They play at 4 and then the hip at 8. This is going to be a great day.
