Definitely good news for Kingston but I wouldn't be caught dead missing the Bills opener! Section 140 baby! Go Bills! I know the boys will be in Roch or Buffalo or Cleveland or TO soon enough! That is going to be one kick ass show though, definitely a must see!!

hahahahahahahaha, are you ever gonna be pissed off after the bills have lost the home opener and you realize you could've been witnessing the hip live from their hometown!

Go Bills Go, for sure, but ah, the Eden Mills Festival is that day, for anyone close to Guelph...a dilemma has arisen....can you believe it...what a show it should be...

There is no dilemma.....HOT DAMN!!!!
This is the TRAGICALLY HIP.........IN KINGSTON, ONTARIO!!!!!!!
This is like getting to play street hockey with Wayne and Walter Gretzky in Brantford on a cold Christmas morning....it simply doesn't get ANY better than this.
Whatever your plans are...CHANGE THEM NOW!!! I don't care who's getting married, I don't care what pride festival is going on, I don't give two shats that J-Lo and Britney Spears are doing an acoustic set in your basement (well maybe we can bend a little)....this isTHE TRAGICALLY HIP live from their beautiful home town..this is a once in a lifetime magical event that every single Hipbaser MUST be a part of.
Shannon, you've got a seat in my car, and Stephen, pass on the wedding in St. Kitt's (besides it's Hurricane season)
Look forward to meeting each and every one of you HIPBASERS there....I'll be wearing my newly purchased T-shirt.
Cheers,
Goulet!!!!

BTW Shannon....I'll have a new offer for that Set List from the Sudbury show that you wouldn't sell to me for $100 when I ran into you up in the Big Nickel.
I don't think we formally introduced, but I was the guy that offer you that exorbinant amount of cash for the setlist to which you so foolishly turned down (even though you greedily had 2 of them!!!!) I told you I was a HUGE Hip fan and you sort of scoffed at me....little did you know I would rear my ugly head once again.
p.s. you still have a seat in my car....CHEERS!!! Us Hipbasers, we stick together.
GOULET!!!

What are the odds of The Hip playing Kingston on a day where I already have concert tickets in Toronto?
Now this is a delima: do I see show number 15, or do I go see one of my other favourite bands which I haven't seen in three years?
Choices, choices.
This is great news

Article about it in the Kingston Whig-Standard <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.thewhig.com/webapp/sitepages/content.asp?contentid=75514&catname=Local+News">http://www.thewhig.com/webapp/sitepages ... Local+News</a><!-- m -->
Summary:
Gord would like to see 30 000 there, but 10 000 is more reasonable.
Many bands have been contacted (I get the impression it'll be ARA-like), many have expresssed interest, but none have been confirmed.
Gord has no idea what a ticket to see the Hip costs these days and so, no idea how muhc tickets to this show will be.
