Well, the way i see it is thus....
Gord is a man, a man who must be heard. He needs the microphone to project his soul out onto the masses, as it's not feasible for him to run around talking to everyone individually.
The microphone is a means of giving a message, but nothing more.... if no one uses the mike, it's content to sit there.... stoic, proud, unflinching. It, in essence needs no one to exist, while Gord is driven to use the microphone, as one may be driven to drink beer or any other such compulsion.
The microphone wins.

Gord could definetly take the microphone, but I think the microphone would have it's way with Johnny. Lol
