You'd think there'd be more from Ottawa eh! Its a pretty decent town. I'm from Hamilton and I love to visit Ottawa and Montreal whenever possible. The Hip usually manage to stop in Ottawa, no?

oh yeah. I've seen then like 5 times in Ottawa now. I used to have a bunch if fanatic friends but we all stopped getting in touch after high school really.
The only thing The Hip didn't do was stop here for their theatre tour... but we got bluesfest which (almost) made up for it.

Bluesfest was AWESOME. They were only on for 90 minutes so I thought they were a lot more focused and energetic than during the 2.5 hour Evening With tour. It was like the Camp Trillium benefit, but 90 minutes long instead of 65. And even though it was a music festival they still played some gems!

Bluesfest was really one of the best shows I have ever been to. And the next day in the paper or really shortly after they made a comment about they thought Gord was better solo and had more fun than he did with The Hip. I was like were you AT that show? Because it rocked.

I'd freak out if I saw them do an extented version of "I'll Believe in You" including a monologue.
I've never met anyone who likes that song as much as me. It's my favorie Hip song (besides Nautical Disaster)

Oh what I would give to hear Put It Off in the middle of something, like on that one version of NOIS. Or a So Hard Done By / Put It Off combo.

Oh man!! That'd be killer, those are two of my all time favorite hip tunes. :thumb: :thumb:
The jams are what give the shows a little something extra. I find that with all live music the most enjoyable shows are the ones where they go off on a tangent and jam it out for awhile. Love that.

Not only are his crazy rantings what got ME hooked, but it's consistently what I use to hook my friends on their music too. Since I'll need people to tour with me this tour or I'll be sad.
After everything I've heard and imagined a hip show to be. I sure hope my first experience is everything I have imagined it will be. However, it will severely suck to go alone, but that way I can do whatever I want, including wait to meet the guys afterward :mrgreen:

You know what we should do? team up and become groupies for southern ontario and northern new york! Because there is no way my friends are going to be dragged to more than like 3 shows with me

yeah I was listening to the boot of the bluefest show today and I was AMAZED at how much better the sound was than at the corel center! The only problem with Bluesfest with me was that I had a crazy drunk guy trying to get in fights and screaming "NEW ORLEANS" for like the ENTIRE show. But it totally ruled anyway

Well when they tour, if they come to Montreal, Burlington VT and/or Albany NY and you'd like to come with me to one of them, most likely the two American shows, you're welcome to come with me. That would be awesome.

I definitly want to hook up with some Hipbasers for this tour. Whoever is in within a 150 k radious to Hamilton let me know> I know how to rock hard and have a great time especially when it comes to the Hip!!
