The Weakest Link - Music @ Work - Round 3
#16

Killer Whale Tank Wrote:Animal songs just aren't doing too well on this poll. Eric Burdon would disapprove

We've had parasites, hornets and penguins take the last three polls so it must be time to give mother nature a rest.

Now Tiger's tied with The Completists! Cmon - there's gotta be a couple other people willing to pull the trigger on The Completists - give Tiger one more round!

I always loved the outro to Poets/intro to Courage from the Woodstock show/boots where Gord is ranting parts of what would become The Bear, especially the spoken lines:

And I knew they would come
They docked their boats they cocked their guns
And I said "The time for reconciliation is done"
And they said...and I said, "With my belly full I intended to get something DONE." COURAGE! (flips his hand back and the guitar chords crash in "ba-nan-nan")

His delivery of these lines is so powerful at that show. The imagery is fantastic and it's an awesome intro to Courage. But even though The Bear is a cool song, the singing of the lyrics and the tune are so mellow by comparison to the forceful spoken delivery from that show, that I always felt a little disappointed with it.

It didn't get my vote this round, but before it's gone into permanent hibernation, wanted to give my shoutout to the Woodstock rant version of The Bear.

This one never worked for me.

How is Tiger at high risk at this point?? Shameless recklessness!
