"you guys are idiots, this song is very deep" Big Grin

Although I think the funniest part of the movie is when he goes through his Brian Wilson phase. All in all a pretty comical movie/mocumentary.

Great movie! I agree, the Brian Wilson sequence is by far the funniest part of the film. I also like the scene where his bandmate keeps offering him drugs, and finally he says "no thanks, I don't want to succumb to the temptations." And then he literally walks past The Temptations in the hallway. Makes me laugh every time.

Personal stakes, they get raised and get raised
Til your story gets compelling
If you lacked the sense or were wilfully dense
Is forever in the telling.

Wilfully dense -- a perfect way to describe this whole song!

The surface is green and the dark interweaves
In a lonely irridescence
It's terribly deep and the cold is complete
And it only lacks your presence
And nothing else
And no one else

I love this song, especially live. It's "so loud it flaps your pant legs." But to this day I still have no clue what Gord is going on about.

Every time I pee off of the stern of a sailboat this line enters my head.

Every single morning I get in my car and realize my keys are in my pocket. Then my head automatically sings "fumble with the keys, under duress"

It's the little shit like this that is going to have me in a ball
of tears when the inevetable happens.
