Gord's best vocal live or studio?
#16

Studio:
All of Road Apples
Wild mountain honey
the bastard
emperor penguin
bobcaygeon
100th meridian
Lionized
fully completely
We'll go too
Nautical disaster
Daredevil
Wheat kings
trickle down
she didn't know
Another midnight
Ahead by a century
gift shop
are you ready
use it up
leave
dire wolfe
dark canuck
ultra mundane
problem bears

Live:
Last of the unplucked gems
fully completely
Little bones
New O
Blough
Courage
100th
lionized
Trickle down
50
Wherewithal
700
on the verge
fire in the hole

I could keep going but I"ll stop :music

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

I positively love the vocals on Stay. I know there's a lot of hate for M@W, but I really like most of that album. Except Freak Turbulence.

Get Ry Cooder to sing my eulogy. Sorry. Not timely but it's the truth for me.

To the original topic of the thread... Best vocals? First songs that come to mind for me are The Rules, and Flamenco. there's just something on those low slow songs where Gord gets to *sing*. Great vocal performances that give me the chills on many songs ("bring me back in shackles...") but best vocal overall, I'm starting with one of the above....

Done And Done for me is exceptional, when he sings "Through, Through, Through and Through" I love it.

Wes, you're so right. Underrated as fuck.
Also, I love the transition into Goodnight Attawapiskat, and I always wanted to see them play the two back-to-back live

I thought the moment I heard "We Want To Be It" on NFPA, that it was one of Gord's most inspired, passionate and powerful vocal performances. Fiddler's Green is another standout. Also, although I'm not a huge fan of WATS, his singing on that album is pretty fantastic overall.
