New Sam Roberts album "Lo-Fantasy"-Feb. 11
#16

While some of the tracks from Brother Down were released for a limited time by the band on MySpace (For The Ladies and Sunny Lemon Tina), circa 2006-07, those who have full copies of the Brother Down LP were kindly asked to keep it to themselves. To my knowledge, we've all kept our word so far.

However, most of this collection has seen the light of day.

"Step Inside" - re-recorded as a Chemical City bonus track
"Climb Over Me" - re-recorded as a vinyl/US bonus on WWBIAF
"Brother Down" - re-recorded for Inhuman Condition
"For The Ladies" - officially unreleased
"Got Soul But No Money" - re-vamped as "Dirty Water"
"(Baby You) Got Me On The Run" - re-recorded for WWBIAF (arguably, this is the only version superior to what's been officially released)
"Embrasse-Moi" - re-recorded for the Bon Cop Bad Cap soundtrack
"Durban Poison" - officially unreleased
"Magic On My Mind" - re-recorded for a WarChild benefit
"Sunny Lemon Tina" - also available on the Northstar EP
"Canadian Dream" - re-recorded for WWBIAF
"You Would Never Make Me Cry No" - officially unreleased

There is also a version floating around with really good versions of Paranoia and Taj Mahol, sources say...

And because I'm on a tangent, other early Sam gems include "Diagnosis: Evil," "Mick and Keef," "Devil's Ends," "Wasted On You Baby" (seriously, the Northstar EP is Brit-Pop gold), "Out of Your Mind" and "On The Straight and Narrow" (from the Piranha 7").
