center floor 13 is good !! I almost jumped on something in J and still might.
If I'm back row center floors I might prefer center elevated in J

Just glad to be going and now the quest to upgrade Wink

john cage Wrote:Thanks for this thread. I wouldn't have known about the pre-sale without looking here first. Tried just for the hell of it and got F4 row 3. Really can't afford this, but it may be the last time I get to see The Hip. Ever.

Hopefully the set includes a lot of deep cuts, new songs, and minimal 'greatest hits'. A person can dream...

Should I ask?

Sure. It's nothing bad per se. Since the '08 recession that has never really gone away, my financial situation has become 'tenuous' - that's the bad part. Once I sell my house or have the lender take it, I will likely move to Florida to reboot my life (the hoped for good part). May not have time or money (depending on employment) to road trip. Given Atlanta is the closest The Hip get to FL, this may be it for me. Hopefully not.

Let's just hope this show isn't anything like last years.

In my humble opinion....last years show at Caesars.....was the blandest hip show that I have ever been to. (37)

I got row 5 of F6, right on the aisle. I saw Roger Daltrey from almost the same spot last year, awesome sightlines.

My went with my fiancée to the London show back in '09. Thus far her experience at a Hip show consists of standing behind a tall guy, sort of hearing the music. Hopefully this will be better.
As was discussed in another thread, such an awesome feeling when you get to introduce someone to the real Hip live experience.

F3 Row 13 ... stoked plus!

Casino hotel and the Hilton are sold out that night ... is there something else going on in town that week?

I am assuming the hotels are sold out due to Canada Day (July 1st) and Independence Day (July 4th) holidays. The Americans like to come to Windsor to eat, drink and gamble during holidays.

Big Grin

Try the Travelodge or The Riverside Inn (formerly The Ramada) which are both on Riverside Dr right next to the Hilton you mentioned. They are all within walking distance to the casino. (One city block). The Holiday Inn is also on Riverside Dr, but a little longer walk.

I am going to see Sam Roberts Band on Friday, May 25th (U.S. Memorial Day weekend) at Caesar's Casino Windsor and all the hotel rooms are booked on that date too! I was lucky enough to get one of the last rooms at the Travelodge.

I have stayed at all the hotels mentioned above and they are all nice, clean and modern.

Thanks! I called the Hilton directly and managed to get an AAA rate for $119 incl breakfast so I'm happy with that. We'll be at the poker tables for a while before the show but if anyone wants to meet for a couple of cold ones I'm up for that.

Some casino rooms opened up yesterday but they are $229 plus tax.
