Ottawa gets tons of Hip... almost bi-hourly on the Bear, and Chez plays a ton too. The New Rock Alternative only seems to play Fully Completely tracks though...

104.9 XFM Vancouver played Courage at 11am for Remembrance Day.
To stay on topic though, it seems Vancouver radio stations have been playing less and less Hip over the last few years, or maybe I'm just listening less and less.

Winnipeg gets a ton of Hip on the radio. The "classic rock station" plays stuff up to/including DFN. The more modern rock station plays a bit of everything.
Just to add to the M@W discussion, "Freak Turbulence" also got radio play. M@W was the album that got leaked months before its release on Napster, which is why I think it got half-assed promotion. Kind of ironic though that it still debuted at #1 in Canada, while IVL didn't hi #1 (came out at #2) and sold about half as many copies (150,00 last I heard).

A few years back 102.1 in Toronto did an Ongoing History of New Music special on The Hip. It wasn't bad, I mean, Alan Cross is a radio God and he can make almost anything intertesting. But it was the standard stuff you're hear about The Hip, Davis Manning, jamming new songs from New Orleans, etc...but it's still a decent listen that they play whenever the Hip are in town...

Hey people! I get most of my hip listening from the radio on 106.9 The Bear out of Ottawa. They play alot of hip. They play old and new  Also when I go home also listen to 105.7 K-Rock out of Kingston. Most of the american station over here play the hip but it's once every blue moon. So thank you my friends to the north :thumb:

New radio station unearthed yesterday in Calgary. Q107 plays entire rock albums. So far I've heard the whole Fully Completly album and they just finished up with Road Apples!!
Other albums of note that I've heard on the station so far in it's two days are Neil Young - Everybody knows this is nowhere, Pink Floyd - Darkside of the moon, Led Zeppelin - IV.
I think I'm going to like this station.
