if there is any truth to the Niagara Falls date. i'd bet on the casino- Bears Den?? please please dont play one of the freebie shows. last time it was thursday in the Square- crazy hot and crazy packed and crazy free. i did the Cleveland show and myself and 80 people saw a great show with a great view with room to fall down and not get trampled.
just one mans hope and opinion. :rambo:

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Gord Downie appearances at both the Regina and Edmonton Folk Festivals. If they are playing out east in July, and then in BC on August 15th, that would work out well because both Regina and Edmonton's Folk Festivals are on the August 6, 7 & 8th weekend. It also seems like the type of event they would likely attend. We can hope!

Anyone know what is happening with the 07/01 Mississauga date? Ticket sale date?

want to be a nobody without peer
want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone

I'm pumped, this will be the first time he's played Sudbury solo I do believe.

For those who have seen Downie solo before, does he play any hip songs? Either quieter or more popular ones?

"Solo" with the Country of Miracles/The Dinner is Ruined, not as far as I know. Solo by himself or that one time with the Sadies, yes. I would bet against it on this tour, though.
