Fair. But i'm thinking most people here pre-ordered because of the LFTV V4 bonus disc. What grinds my gears is the fact that LFTV V4 is also available at Future Shop as part of a "fan bundle", something they neglected to mention during the pre-sale.. and something I could have picked up myself yesterday. Instead I'm left waiting to here this album, which won't likely arrive until next Tuesday (estimated time of delivery by Canada Post).

This is what's really ticking me off...didn't the hip say that the only way to get LFTV 4 on cd was through ticketmaster? They had to know this box set was coming out. And now I'm waiting out in the cold for their new album when I could have picked up the box set...here's hoping it comes today.

I signed up and it told me I got 10 free downloads. It just so happens that there are 10 new songs on the new Hip album that I have not heard. Needless to say I downloaded them.

And as far as I can tell it is legal (for those of you morally opposed to "stealing")

I love collecting Hip stuff, and what REALLY ticks me off is the fact that they have these bundles with this cool sounding crate with The Hip on the side. I would LOVE to have something like that, but I pre-ordered from Maple Music - pretty much so I could have LFTV on CD. :censored me

How do we get our hands on that crate?!?!?!?!

"stealing" in this sense is a subjective term that, like many things, can be justified or villified depending on perspective. Both points of view are wrong because both are right. Grey areas, my friend, its all grey areas.

I used to live in the Buffalo area, went to Buff state. I live in the Philly area now. I will be coming up there next week to visit my family, maybe hit the Dead show Tues!! I hope my pre orders are in before I leave next week.

I got my vinyl order yesterday (ordered it Sunday) and I got my pre-order for the CD and Vault #4 CD when I purchased tickets for the Detroit show today. Te pre-order was shipped from MapleMusic.

I did the maple music preorder...$14 bucks to Vermont...estimated 6 - 12 days? Must be coming by dog sled? Kurt Cobain reincarnated me thinks.

I don't want to come off as a whiner, but this whole "pre-order" thing has again been mismanaged, and especially with the efficiency of the whole Maple Music systerm:

I got my hopes up yesterday since I had a notice from Canada Post that there was a package waiting for me at the post office - unfortunately, it was a book order from Amazon.

Like a bunch of others apparently, I was under the impression that the Live 4 album was much more exclusive than it now is - I tried to get it with the Ticketmaster option, but this wouldn't work (although I managed to get tickets to all six Massey Hall shows). I went with the Maple Music option instead. It's nice to see that the distributor for most Canadian acts to wait at least one week after the retail release date to get an album with a supposed "exclusive" item. I remember that when WC came out, it appeared (at least to me) that the digipack edition was not the retail version, so I pre-order through Maple Music. Again, the release was delayed, and I found the digipack at a local HMV. I called customer service to see if I could cancel my order that had not yet shipped as I could now obtain the same edition a few dollars cheaper and much quicker, yet they wouldn't cancel the order.

On a side note, I know of one local artist who is losing sales on his debut album since it retails for $27 with shipping despite his request that it not sell for more than $15.

I'm still waiting as well... although I got the CD with the movie deal.

I've had multiple notices about things I've ordered letting me know that they've shipped, but so far nothing in my hands. Very disappointing considering that Maple ships from Toronto, and I'm in Toronto!
