The one time I talked to Gord, we talked about weed and the way he looked at me when I mentioned it (I was talking about smoking and playing music) coupled with his response ("That's great... and high... and great") demonstrates to me that if he doesn't still he definitely used to smoke weed and a lot of it. For some reason it bothers me when bands try to look tough in promo pics, this reminds me of a group of 20 year olds taking a picture for their myspace page.

Really?? I don't get that feeling at all from the photo. For me the first thing that popped into my head when I first looked at it was "wow, Johnny doesn't look 18 anymore." Over the last few albums and tours he didn't seem to age at all. Looks like it's finally caught up with him, haha.

Johnny looked like an old man to me after the 2007 Charlottetown show. :lol: He looked plenty grey and aged.

Yea, it's not exactly a flattering photo of the guys, especially Robby who looks like he just got out of prison. However, keep in mind that these guys are all in their mid-40s by now, and no matter what kind of picture you take or what kind of lighting you use, they're gonna look their age. And I'd probably look bored too if I was having my photo taken for the gazillionth time after 25 years in the music biz. The looks on their faces say it all: "Can we please just get this photo shoot over with, put out the damn record, and play some gigs already?" Why is this taking so long?"

I really enjoyed the WC promo shots. I thought those were spot on - with gord smiling and all. I hope the rest of the promo shots are a whole ton better.
