Are you sure - I do not really remember Rochester at the Aud last time - but I thought we were drinking at our seats.
I know we were last year in Syracuse at that theatre.

I recall that you were allowed to bring drinks down into the bowl too.
As far as pre/post, there is nothing close by, in fact, the neighborhood isn't all that great. A church parking lot across the street is accomodating for a little tail gate action. Last time there before a Deathcab/Ted Leo+Pharmacists show, we tried to find Dinosaur BBQ and couldn't, but ended up at a great place called Biel Street Cafe...good food (cajun, creole, BBQ) and beer selection, even a good band. It wasn't very far to the theatre from there (by car).

Beale street is just like the Dinosaur minus the crowds. Great food, found out about that place when we went to Rochester for a lacrosse game and the wait at the Dino was 3 hours. And everytime I've ever been to the Aud theater, they've allowed drinks at the seats

California Rollin isn't too bad. They have an amazing selection but you'll need to get over the appearance. It really doesn't appear to be a clean establishment but it is its just the ambiance they go for. Laid back, casual, bastard child of japanese sushi style of place. If you only like traditional sushi bars don't go. Friday they don't really have a deal but they do have a Sexy Sushi Chef night on Friday...I've never been there for that. Anywho...here's the website if you want to check the place out. It's about half a mile from the venue.

If there aren't drinks it means none in the seating area. Usually they set up a bar area on each floor of the theatre just outside the doors. I'm guessing that is what they'll do since a lot of restoration and what not has been done to that old theatre

At all their shows in Canada they stop serving as soon as the Hip hits the stage. It was not alway's like that but I've noticed the last 4 shows I've been to its been that way!
