Haha I noticed this as well! I saw them in Chicago, then in Minneapolis and the latter show was much better. Partly because it the crowd was way more into them, partly bc I was blazed.

Anyway, I think their lead guitarist sounds really good. The drummer does look like he's possessed. He reminds me of the zombie best buddy of Shaun in "Shaun of the Dead"

Does any one have setlist of what they played in Erie. They last two songs were amazing.

I wasn't there, but I'm guessing they might have closed with the same song they ended with in both Minneapolis and Madison. It's called "Nerves Normal." And as markslog said a while ago: "Their song Nerves Normal will blow the roof off."

And to speculate further, their second to last song in Madison was "Archaeologists," from an upcoming album.

These are the songs that were played:

tamborine (new song)
jaws of life
caliber
orca
weighty ghost (new song)
obivion (new song)
murderer (new song)
archeologist (new song)
nerves normal

I have heard the rough mixes of the new album and this album will be killer. Tim, Loel and Paul are in Scotland now to put their input on the final mixes.

They should be touring Canada again sometime after the album's release (late August/September).

This thread deserves a bump!

I can't believe some of the boys haven't commented at all about the new album: "Welcome to the Night Sky" which was released on Tuesday.

It's fantastic! Go and pick it up!

There are clearly some musical influences of a band from the mid-to-late nineties called hHead. Not sure if anyone remembers them but that is what their music reminded me of right away.

Early favourites from the new album are Archaeologist, Astronaut and Oblivion.

I second that. It's all I've been listening to since Monday. I'd never heard of this band before they toured with the Hip. Now they're one of my favorites. Current favorite song off the new album is Dead Letter & The Infinite Yes -- but it changes frequently.

I essentially got off the plane on Wednesday and drove to downtown Toronto to pick up the album at Soundscapes and I've been listening to it non stop since.

They are touring Canada starting October 16th at the 'shoe in Toronto and going west bound and then returning for many Ontario dates in November. I'll probably be catching 10-12 of the shows.

yeah it's a great album, it's really nice to hear what they did in the studio with these songs.

Trevor, glad you've been infected with this band, I have an idea of who may be responsible for it Smile

Hehehe...well, if you would have made the trip with us, I imagine you would have played a hand in that!

I'm going to try and catch a couple of shows this tour.
Hope to see you all there!
