I have read the comics. The Hulk comics manage tell griping stories without burdening the plot. Lee's attempt to explore the generational effects of child abuse was interesting but drove the story away from the Hulk and made it about his father. I understand the attempt to explain the complex psychological background of Bruce Banner but lee failed. The viewer never got a chance to developed sympathy for Bruce. Dr. Banner became a victim of his father not a result of his own relentless pursuit of knowledge. Banner is a smart, honest and vulnerable man of science. The Hulk is everything Bruce is not. How were we supposed to relate with a six foot chiseled featured male model with an Australian accent? Where was his weakness? The film belongs in the same category as CATWOMAN, DAREDEVIL and GHOST RIDDER. Failures. :mrgreen:

I'm going to see Iron Man for $4 on Friday...when Hulk is $4 i will see it.

dude it's worth more than 4 bucks..I liked the first movie, which i know nobody else did, but this puts it to shame..Ed Norton is amazing as Bruce Banner..if you were a fan of the TV show,you'll love this movie...the CGI is nuts

Saw Iron Man, it was decent, my friend says Hulk is better...we shall see.

I loved this film, even with the slow mid section...
And to see Stan Lee once again cameo (dear god, please just give him an oscar for walk-on work!!) as well as Lou Ferrigno again just pressed my fan-boy buttons...

Even the bits showing Norton's eyes and forehead, with that little green crosshair dragged me back to the origonal series

Now with what happens at the end of Iron Man, and now this film, who else is excited for something bigger to come??

Now all I need is to get Hancock under by belt & I will be all movied out

Marvel is hoping for an Avengers movie in 2011..with Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and a couple of others..here's hoping Norton stays on with this franchise..he was freakin amazing....
