The season will be just underway - it starts in October.

You can always get tickets... it just depends on how much you want to spend. Scalpers are always willing to make you a deal...

Getting tickets to Montreal or Toronto through the box office is nearly impossible - regardless of the time of year.

If your looking to see some bands, toronto is where you want to be. theres a dozen shows going on every night. As far as going to see a hockey game when your over here, i think its great you want to see what its all about but it isn't going to come cheap. I don't know how availible tickets are in Montreal but in Toronto its nearly impossible to get tickets unless you wanna pay out of your ass. Atleast thats how it is for me....

Ah, kinda like trying to see a (decent) football match in London then... Well we have some companies over here that specialise in hooking people up with sports tickets for when they go on holiday, so I might get lucky!

Montreal's got great shopping if your missus is into that! But, so does Toronto if you're willing to walk around a bit to find the cool little boutiques. Also, Toronto does have the better tourist attractions - the Royal Ontario Museum, the Bata shoe museum (again, if your missus is into shoes she'll love this place), Casa Loma, the CN Tower, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Ontario Science Centre, etc., and as someone pointed out, you can easily take a side trip to Niagara Falls, which is a whole unique experience in itself.

If I were travelling to Canada from abroad for the first time ever, I'd probably go to Toronto for my first visit, then come back another time to see the rest.

theres an idea (from thompson girl). The Hockey Hall of Fame. If you can't make it out to a game, check out the Hall of Fame. Its pretty neat, you might like it and it's only $12 i think? I assume your starting to lean more towards Toronto now? 8)

hey, hopefully the hip will play a show in toronto in november seeing how they are out east in september.... wouldn't that just be perfect for you!?!

another thing you could look into checking out is the 2007 Grey Cup Finals seeing how it will be held in Toronto this year. If you don't know what the grey cup is, its our football (not soccer, american football) leagues championship.
