HELP! Here's an email and response I received from Lindsay at Butterbaby. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
---------------------------------------------------
Hello from Canada!
I'm a big fan of The Tragically Hip and would love to buy some of your "tragically hip since birth" onesies but your website seems to be set up for shipping within the U.S. only. What can I do? I found you through www.hipbase.com by the way.
Please reply, my first boy is due in May.
Thanks.

Hi,
At first I said I could do it but it is very complicated, having looked into it, and I don't think I can. There are taxes and other duties in addition to the shipping. Perhaps there is another way to get it there - in other words, maybe there is a store that can sell it.
I really would like to sell it because there is a large contingent of you up there, but it seems like a true nightmare on my end. Is there another way we could do it rather than individually?

All she has to do is fill out the tiny customs form - mark the box that says gift - put the onesie in the package - send away for no additional cost.

I sent her that suggestion and she responded with this:
Well I did notice the gift option. But it says it has to be from an individual and not a company, so I would have to change the sender part on the label. And then if the value is over $60 you have to do something else (although most would not be over $60.) I could try it.
What do you usually pay for shipping from the US? I am thinking i need to charge about $14-18. I would have to figure best way to do it.

Butterbaby.com
I just received a shirt from Canada to the US.
I was charged $6 Canadian for shipping by the individual.

I just ordered 3 of these onesies: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Butterbaby-Onesie-Tr ... dZViewItem
The operator, Lindsay King, was excellent to deal with and gave me a good discount! I highly recommend her!
I'll let the board know how they look once I get 'em.

I just got 3 of these onesies in the mail and am very pleased with the quality for the value! I would highly recommend you get a few if you have an infant or if any of your friends/enemies do!

Between these little onesies and the maternity leave top-up that we just negotiated at work, I'm almost tempted to have another baby. Almost. Not quite though.
For those Canadians who live close enough to the US border (you know, the 90% of us who hug the border), there are usually businesses just over the border that will act as a post office for Canadian customers. We get things shipped to the post office just over the border and then cross to pick them up ourselves. It's a bit of a drag (about a 45 minute drive) and you have to claim the items at customs on your way back in to Canada, but it works.

I am expecting my firstborn child in January!
Does anyone have a used Tragically Hip Onesie in great condition that they would be willing to sell me?
It seems like the butterbaby company is no longer in business...
