I can't recall a division so close from top to bottom this much into the year as the Northwest division currently is. Should be an interesting 2nd half.

And Donald Brashear is an idiot!!

Speaking of Shanahan, did anyone see the clip of him on HNIC last night? He was standing in front of his locker with a group of press around him, and he was bobbing back and forth and breathing heavy...in a similar style to the Senators who like to ride the bike while being interviewed...pretty funny stuff...he said he was doing an "Ottawa interview" but he gave the camera guy shit when he panned down to show him just standing there! I think it was shown during the coaches corner segment, so there's probably video out there if you want to search...

ryan93 Wrote:Brashear was actually already tossed out of the game before the Ovechin incident occured Tiger...all the Brashear stuff resulted from his elbow on Jaromir Jagr. The Ovechkin stuff came later (actually the whole thing happened b/c Brash went after Jagr & Shanny, so Orr went after their star).

If you look at the 10 teams that score the least amount of goals, only three of them have winning records - the 'nucks, Devils and Stars. Seeing as how the Devils have a guy by the name of Marty Brodeur and the Stars have Regular Season Marty Turco (not to be confused with his evil twin Playoff Marty Turco - who is brutal), it's pretty clear to me that the 'nucks winning record is due to one guy, and one guy only. I mean what more did you expect out of Luongo? Did you want him to QB the PP as well?!?!?

Cferneyh, you're a stats guy. How can you defend a goalie, a guy SUPPOSED TO BE a TOP 3 goalie at the very worst, with a .911 save percentage? He's being paid to be in the top five in GAA and Save %. He has underachieved. It's pretty simple.
The Canucks record is 100% NOT because of one guy at all. Luongo has been decent but he isn't being paid to be decent. Also, in the games I've watched, he has let in too many weak goals for my liking.
