haha, good man.
and about Buffalo, it's definately better to slump a bit now, and get it out of the system, and be peaking again come playoffs...

I wonder what Rory really thinks about the whole thing... I can't help but wonder if he's enjoying this at all, no matter what he says. It's a hilarious story all right, but I'm not sure I'd want to be in the middle of it...

...perhaps if a few more Canadiens games were shown on English television, people would know who Christopher Higgins is... :?
(I hope that link works...)

I could see them moving Niiniima, because he hasn't impressed and besides, has too many i's in his name that could be used on other sweaters. (I'm pretty sure, for example, that Bonk's real name is Boink, and they're just covering up the lack of i's. My sources are impeccable.)
Anyway, Radek Boink and the rest of that third line should get the recognition they deserve as the team's +/- leaders. Perezhogin at +12 has been pretty damn steady, I'd say.
Of course, I wouldn't take anyone too seriously if they're writing about the Habs struggling to try to make the playoffs....
(Yes, I know, I misspelled Niinimaa, but it's more fun that way.)

I voted for Rory. :thumb:
Lidstrom was once a -4 in a single game, why not!

This may seem like a Sabres fan vent but it's not, it's a hockey fan vent. The sucker punch Nichol landed on Spacek was bush leauge. Spacek did take him to the net but after seeing the replay a million times, I think Nichols leg buckeld on his own, not by Spacek. If your gonna be pissed and want to throw down, stand up to him face to face, You don't come from behind and knock his ass out like that.

Well Habs fans, I gotta say that I'm very jealous of how well your team has been playing this year. And this is rather blasphemous for a Leaf fan to say, but I actually don't mind these Habs. When I was growing up the Habs were easy to dislike - guys like Chelios, Corson, Stephane Richer, Claude Lemieux ensured a maximum level of dislike. And even right up to Jose Theodore, I could always easily find one player on the Habs' roster that I couldn't stand. But as I watch the 05/06 version, I see a team that is not as easy to dislike. There's no one true superstar (though a couple more years of Huet playing like this and he will be), and when someone goes down (like Higgins) someone steps in (Latendresse) and does the job. So congrats....you bastards.

Really? It looked to me like Spacek ran him into the post.
As a hockey fan, I'd like to say that it WAS a sucker punch but WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? He didn't hit his brain stem. A few odd sucker punches during a season are as much a part of hockey as fighting. I'm not saying it's a very honourable thing to do but there are so many thuggish actions in the NHL that I don't think this sucker punch was that big of a deal. Hitting someone in the eye with the blade of your stick is much worse than punching someone in the face.
9 games? That's purely ridiculous.
On a different note, why was Naslund so vehement in arguing that his goal should have counted? He scored with less than a second to go in the game. If the goal counted, it would have been a 2-1 loss for the Canucks instead of the 2-0 loss. What's the big deal? Is Naslund that worried about his stats these days?
