rex grossman had one good drive as well..is he a great QB?? if they don't run that ball in for the 3 yard td, manning wasn't gonna get it in there..that, and there was 15 yard penalty on the play as well

349 yards passing is one good drive? I guess I didn't realize they were playing on a 400 yard field.

Police: Reid son admits to using heroin

ALEJANDRO A. ALVAREZ/Daily News
Police said they seized two guns at the Lower Merion home of Eagles coach Andy Reid. One gun was taken from the house and another from a black SUV.

The eldest son of Eagles coach Andy Reid admitted using heroin on the same day he was involved in a traffic accident in Plymouth Township, according to court documents released today.

Garret Reid "waived his right to remain silent and provided two written statements," according to a search warrant affidavit. "Reid acknowledged using heroin, a schedule I controlled substance, on Tuesday, January 30, 2007.

"Reid also acknowledged possessing drug paraphernalia including hypodermic syringes."

The affidavit enabled police to obtain search warrants that led to the discovery of two handguns, ammunition, white powder and other items in two vehicles and the Main Line home owned by the veteran Eagles coach.

Garrett and younger brother Britt, 21, await the results of a series of lab tests that could plunge them deeper into legal trouble.

The warrant was issued as part of an investigation by two suburban townships and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office into separate traffic incidents involving two of Reid's sons.

The first incident, on Tuesday morning, involved Britt Reid and a gun, court documents said.

In the second incident, a vehicle being operated by Garrett Reid collided with a car Tuesday afternoon.

One weapon seized in the search, described as a "Remington police magnum," was taken from a black SUV that court documents said was apparently driven by Britt Reid in an alleged road-rage incident.

The second weapon, a .45 caliber handgun, was described as being seized in the Reid home. Britt Reid, 21, is one of Andy Reid's five children.

A receipt for the .45 caliber handgun seized by police was given to Britt Reid, according to court documents.

No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.

Also taken from the vehicle were bullets and a blue container "with eight clear baggies w/white residue" and a pharmacy bottle bearing Britt Reid's name and having a "green leafy" substance inside.

The search was conducted Tuesday night. The documents describing the search and items seized became available today.

The incident involving Britt Reid was a confrontation with another man who was also driving on Matson Ford Road in West Conshohocken. The second man has not been identified.

"There was a report of an incident where a gun was displayed," said Risa Vetri Ferman, Montgomery County first assistant district attorney.

According to the search warrant, the road rage incident involved a dispute over who was in the "proper lane."

At some point, a redheaded white male described in the warrant as driving a vehicle registered to Andy Reid "pointed the handgun directly at the victim and smiled," according to the West Conshohocken police affidavit of probable cause for the search.

Later Tuesday, Garrett Reid, 23, drove his Jeep Liberty SUV through a red light at Germantown Pike and Arch Road and the vehicle collided with a Ford Taurus, police said.

The other driver, a 55-year-old woman from Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after the midafternoon accident.

She was treated and released. Police have not identified her.

During the investigation, drug paraphernalia was found on Garrett Reid, according to Joseph Lawrence, deputy police chief for Plymouth Township. Speed was a factor in the accident, police said.

Garrett Reid, who was not injured in the accident, submitted to alcohol and drug testing. Results will be available in a few weeks.

According to official state electronic court records, in 2001, Garrett Reid pleaded guilty to three speeding charges, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection, and disregarding a traffic-control device in Radnor Township.

In April, Britt Reid pleaded guilty to speeding in Philadelphia and was fined $132.50.

Britt Reid is also a defendant in a lawsuit involving a Wynnewood man, Murray Nathanson, who says he was injured in a 2002 accident involving Reid.

Nathanson's wife, Priscilla Rosenwald, said the accident happened on Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore. She said Britt Reid was not cited.

James D. Palmer, a Montgomery County lawyer representing Britt Reid, said his client had "denied negligence" in the case.

GO COLTS GO :rambo:

Sorry, Bears. Maybe next year.     Congrats to the Colts. What a horribly played game though. Sloppy game with fumbles and INT's all over the place, and Adam V missing a 38 yard FG. Peyton got his ring. Too bad for Dan Marino because I know he wanted Peyton to join him in the "Great QB's with no SB wins" club.

Prince made it officially the gayest SB of all time with his half time spectacle. Apparently even Prince knows that he doesn't have enough of his own songs to excite people, so he sings those of Dylan and even Dave Grohl.

Why didn't they paste a shot of Peyton with his whiny cry-face into that montage? You know -- the look he has virtually every single time he doesn't convert a 3rd down, suggesting that the refs jobbed him, or his receiver didn't run a perfect route or rein in a 'catchable' pass, or the play that came in from the sidelines was complete garbage.

hahahhaha ya, I noticed that too, I like how he's getting mad half way through the 4th quarter too when the game was already over. Grossman couldn't hit a reciever last night even if there was no defence on the field and I think he'd still manage to somehow throw an INT.

I've been paying close attention to this for years now, and it's really influenced my opinion of Manning.

Is Peyton the best overall QB in the game, and has he been for the past several years? I think so.

But I can't begin to count the times where I see him bitching and scowling and acting all "put off" after an "unsuccessful" play, and it's something I never hear anyone mention.

I lose respect for players, no matter how good they are, when I see them act like that. Most QBs will do it a little bit here and there. I rarely ever see Tom Brady do it. That's something I find to be genuinely classy and admirable -- players who don't show their frustration and move on when things aren't going well, and guys who don't act like whatever went wrong somebody else's fault, even if it was.

Peyton contantly acts like it was somebody else's fault. And maybe it usually is somebody else's fault. Fine. But bitching and scowling and pointing fingers shows a lack of class in my book.

As bad as the Bears played it's hard to blame Grossman for 100% of the loss. The D couldn't stop the Colts on the numerous third down opportunities they had. Time of Possession was 40 mins to 20, 80 something plays to 40 something for the bears. Chicago wasn't ready or Indy was over ready. Better team won last night. We'll be back next year with a more experienced Rexxy.

I have to disagree there. This is by far the worst of them...

The only positive from that show was that it probably made Christina Aguilera go "WTF, enough of this Disney as our new alien overloards shit, I need to get at my bad side". That's about the only good spin I can find from that debacle. Confusedhock:

No complaints for me on the halftime show this year, aside from the oddly dressed tambourine player in the white body suit. Prince can play the guitar. "Purple Rain" in the rain was excellent. I'd watch that any day over McCartney or 2005-era Rolling Stones.

Whenever I watch a Colts game, I simply get the impression that Manning isn't really all that well liked by his teammates. You rarely if ever see any other teammates on the sidelines chatting with him - he's always by himself on the bench, usually with that pouty face expression.
