the regional encoding on the dvd would be wrong, tho. Sad a region 1 dvd won't play on his DVD player... unless of course he bought his dvd player in canada or the US

I'd watch it on my laptop.
I could definitely get it ordered, but the shipping will probably be slightly hefty, and while in Europe I have a few better things to spend my money on than a dvd. I'll get it once I'm home.

Sorry for asking as I am sure the answer is somewhere in this thread. But is the only way to get the book and the videos dvd if you buy the box set?

Just spoke to a lady from Maplemusic.com and she said that the $54.99 was the "band's set price." Can anyone explain to me how Futureshop/Bestbuy can sell for that much lower? ($44.99) And because of the free shipping (or just picking it up in the store), the difference in price is almost $18.00!!

I felt bad because clearly they want to make a sale just as badly as everyone else but a price point of that much lower makes it awfully difficult!

If I have the choice between buying something for 44.99 from Bill Gates, or 54.99 from a poor man living on the street, I choose 44.99.

If you can't competitively price your items, that's your problem, not mine.

I don't know if I would go to that extreme of an analogy. The poor man on the street must have an important reason for trying to make that extra $10 bucks. The Hip on the other hand will still see the same profit per unit (I am assuming) so I guess it probably doesn't matter much to them. The only one feeling the hurt would be the middle man (in this case Maplemusic).

Take it, why not? What's there to feel bad about? I don't think Gord and co. are starving, if you want to keep supporting the band go to a concert buy the new album etc...If it was me I'd take it.

I think FS and BB sell a lot of their CDs and DVDs at a loss to bring people into the stores.
