I don't have much to say about the Richmond show tonight, because I am not very good at concert reports without more time to process. I thought it was a pretty decent show, but the atmosphere was a little strange. There was this annoying emcee guy who tried to lead everyone in kumbaya before the show, and he came back out immediately after the band finished Jaws of Life; someone in the crowd yelled to bring the band back, and he was like, "I can't bring them back, but maybe you can!" So we started cheering, and maybe two whole seconds later he was like, "no, they're not coming back out. Go home!" There was no alcohol at the venue and security was REALLY overzealous about nothing in particular -- at one point they charged into the crowd to yell at the totally wrong person for smoking a cigarette many minutes prior -- and they kept hopping on the barricade (which, to me, means crowdsurfer incoming) and pointing disapprovingly at people and getting in the way of my view. So I don't know, there was a lot of strange stuff going on that I found really distracting, and the crowd where I was didn't seem all that into it. But whatever! They played at least two new songs, and one of them sounded completely amazing. The other sounded mostly amazing, but like maybe they still had some kinks to work out of the live act. It was a pretty short show; I think they came on at 9.15 and played for an hour at most. I have no set list, but I think it was mostly songs from Welcome to the Night Sky. They said they're playing Whistler tomorrow and Surrey the night after that, so we'll see. I'm getting really worn down from two weeks of Olympicsing.

Twice it only worked for about 30 seconds, and after just wouldn't play again.
It sounds alright, but a full listen would probably do it justice. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the heads up!
It reminds me a lot of his Postdata work. Now i know he is Postdata, but I found that it sounded different from the past Wintersleep work, as this, lyrically sounds like Postdata... Lazarus even. It would be like a full band Postdata. But saying all this, I do enjoy enjoy it. It seems like it could be a good album, and it is hard to judge but it would take a lot of beat WTTNS IMO.
Does anyone have an .mp3 of Black Camera studio version?

Sounding more and more like R.E.M. to me.
I won't lie, the new tunes I've heard haven't impressed me that much. It will take a lot to top 'Untitled' for me.

UK/Europe tour dates up: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wintersleep.com/tour.htm">http://www.wintersleep.com/tour.htm</a><!-- m -->
Very excited! I'm thinking doing Birmingham > Manchester > Amsterdam > Dortmund > Cologne (and then London at the end). I'll have to see how finances work out there though...
