disappointing loss to the lowly Flyers tonight, bad penalties (especially the abuse of a official call against Carbo), and a lacklustre 2nd period cost us the 2 points...really a game that they could've, should've won...

Abby wasn't very good, but i don't think the loss can be pinned on him, really, it was Nittymaki (sp?) stealing one for the Flyers...

The former Penguins beat the current Penguins last night! Pittsburgh was leading 1-0 before ex-Pen Jaromir Jagr scored to tie the game at 1. Then with about 10 seconds left in overtime, ex-Pen Martin Straka had a nice little rush, dished the puck to Jagr, who passed it to ex-Pen Michael Rozsival, who passed it back to Straka who scored with 2 seconds left Smile

competitive division this year, except for the Flyers, but the other 4 are all playing good hockey...

The Flyers have looked better the last week or so, i think they've won 3 in a row haven't they? We'll have to wait & see though if they can turn their season around or not.

I just got home from rec hockey so i missed the first period, but man Henrik Lundqvist has been standing on his head the entire 2nd period (most of which the Rangers have spent short handed 1, if not 2 men).
At the other end, Ryan Miller had gone 8 minutes without facing a shot, but just made a beauty on Michael Nylander. Yeah, sure...i just finish praising Lundqvist and the Sabres score a PP goal!

************

It was a good, hard fought game. Both goaltenders were fantastic (perhaps the 2 best goalies in the league), and Marty Straka came up huge for the Rangers yet again & helped earn them a point for the 4th straight game. Chris Drury had a nice tip in OT though to give the Sabres win #19 on the season.

Confusedcratch:

Based on what criteria has Lundqvist been the among the two best goalies in the league this season? He's been playing better lately, but he's still 23rd in save %.

For my money, Huet and Kipper have been the best two goalies in the league this season.

Sabres do it again in OT!

Good stuff...

I HATE THE SABRES!!! The rangers battle back and screw them again in overtime.

He had a slow start to the season yes, but he's been back in top form the last few weeks. His slow start definitely iflated his numbers, but IMO he's one of the 3 or 4 best in the game today.

amen...

Miller, Nabakov, Toskla, Roloson, and surprisingly, Emery, have all been doing really well IMO too.
