Quote:I wonder how many temper tantrums will be thrown by Roloson tonight? Seems he spazzes out everytime a player touches him or when he gets scored on. It's quite hilarious.

he learned that from Hasek.

Sabres/Leafs round 2 Wednesday. Expect a much more focused effort from the Sabres and 5-1 win against the Laffs. Ryan Miller to dominate and the goal machine will be fired up for this one.

I stand corrected. The Oilers managed to pull another 2 points out of their ass tonight after being BADLY outplayed by their opponent. They must be the only team in the league who continues to move up in the standings by playing like garbage every night. Granted, the Flames PP was absolutely abysmal tonight and the Coilers did a nice job on the PK, but still, if it weren't for Roloson the final score would've been 8-1 Calgary. Brutal! The Flames better get themselves back in the win column tomorrow night against the Hawks.

F**K I hate the Oilers.

Leafs 3 Sabres 2 - Tucker scores the winner on the pp and Belak feeds Peters.

I'm going to the game tonight, and GOD I hope you're right

It's gonna be tough wothout Sundin, but maybe....just maybe....

GO LEAFS GO!!!

That Flames game was a joke. Remember when these 2 teams played with some emotion. What a snoozer.

I'm thinking Sabres 6-2. :thumb:

I turned on the the game with only 2 mins to go in the 3rd. Staios took that penalty with what, 1:40 left, the flames finally got the goalie out with about 40 seconds to go, but where was the urgency? They never got the puck in the oilers zone with control, didn't seem like they were even trying.

It's gotta be the coaching, Sutter wouldn't have let them fold like that. Were they that shocked that Kipper let a soft one in late?

I hear ya. The Flames were coming off a 3-day layoff, and the two teams hadn't played each other since the first week of the season, so that may have contributed to it. I imagine it'll get more intense the further we get into the season (especially if they meet in the playoffs) But you're right. There wasn't much of a "Battle" in the Battle of Alberta last night.

Speaking of rivalries, I really miss the Flames/Canucks games from a couple years ago. Those two teams absolutely despised each other and it made for some amazing hockey. But now that Bertuzzi, Jovanovski, and Ruutu are gone, it's just not the same anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still hate the Canucks. But the hate isn't as much fun as it once was.

Yeah, I hear ya. That playoff series of a couple years ago was some of the best hockey that I've ever watched. Now the Canucks are a boring team with no toughness. Sad

I wouldn't classify winning more face-offs, having more shots (albeit 1 shot), having a stellar PK (which you gave credit to) and owning the 3rd period as being outplayed.

I agree with above statements that this game was kind of channel change worthy, but that is due to both teams adding to the boredom, not just the Oilers...I think someone is just upset that their 6 game win streak is done ;-)

BTW: What is up with Kipper's Eye? twas nice and yellow with slight bruising. someone didn't think he was very funny or something?

I'll take 7-4. A couple empty netters, but our rookie also scored on us.

101 goals in 22 games, not bad!!!!!!

I'll bet the Leafs thought it was clear sailing 5 minutes into the game.

Man, I HATE the laffs.
