The Music Hall in Toronto on Friday, April 24th

dreyfuss Wrote:In the future I suggest you read the rules a little better before tickets go on sale.

Condescending much? How's this-in the future I suggest you carefully read all posts before offering useless advice.

I agree that in the end just as many would be happy/unhappy with the results, but for me personally not getting tickets at all would have been an easier pill to swallow than watching great seats slip away because of someone else's mistake.

On a lighter and more positive note, damn I'm loving having the actual CD. Sounds Waaaaay better.

Being that I was screwed by TM and did not get any tickets.........for my sake I hope they come out and do an acoustic version of "I'm A Werewolf Baby" and or "Coconut Cream" 30 times in a row.

SCREW YOU ALL!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

P.S. I would still want to see the DVD..........

Has ANYONE gotten a call from the mysterious Ticketbastard management regarding the snafus yesterday? They took our names, numbers and emails, and almost 24 hours later, nothing.....

Just as everyone else has noted, I lost 3 pairs and a single because their system just wouldn't let them complete. I even tried to trick the system with no luck.

Just right out sucks dealing with them. Confusedcratch:

Paul.

Ok, yeah I get the 30 times over part but really, wouldn't that be AWESOME if they did an acoustic version of Werewolf? I mean, that most certainly isn't screwing anyone over....

Ok, well make that an Acappella version with Rob, Gord S and Paul performing the beat box duties off to the side

I just got a pair on Ticketmaster.

Persistance pays off......

Right balcony, Row NN....which sounds good to me.

I would have sat on the roof in a lawn chair. Smile

Still no contact from the evil gargamels of ticketmaster. I don't know about the others that were shit looped yesterday but I am not accepting an apoligy. I am planning on demanding some kind of reparation, possibly tickets to another show but at the price of this one. Ticketmaster must start being held accountable for their actions and stop behaving so monopolistic. I refuse to be Pearl Jammed on this and let it slide. If anyone elses ass is still sore from yesterday, let us unite, let us call these capitalists to let them know we are still tapping our foot like sonic the hedge hog and let us remember, you get more bees with honey than with vinegar......

GAH!

I've honestly been checking TM at least every hour to see if any tickets pop up. And now when I go to check tickets, it doesn't even give me an option anymore, it says tickets not available! Congratulations sir, enjoy your night and have a drink for me!

Without Canadian Will Call as an option... the order could not go through.

It wasn't until 10 minutes after the tickets went on sale, that Canadian Will Call was available.

TicketBastard dropped the ball HUGE on this one.

dreyfuss is just in a mood because they're not making a second Mr. Holland's Opus.

I thought people were putting in Canada as shipping destination, my bad.

And yes, I am sad that there is no plans for a second Mr Hollands Opus.

TM has no obligation to call us back, let alone be liable, just because their system didn't process the orders as expected. As far as I know no one was charged for the failed ticket transactions, and any other extenuating circumstance we may have put ourselves into in order to buy the tickets is technically not their responsibility. It sucks for those of us that were jonesing for the show and can't make it because of the glitches, and its great for those that are attending - simple as that. I'm looking forward to the reviews.

I see that someone got tickets today, the day AFTER the fiasco. I kind of figured that may happen so that's why I kept checking. Guess my timing sucked for that too.
Enjoy the show everyone. If you see a woman wearing Keens, crying on the Danforth under the marquis, that's just me. You can tell me how excited you are to be one of the privileged few...

Even if TM didn't screw up, this would have been sold out in a minute (or seconds...remember Mod Club). In the end, we would have had the same number of happy people with tix and unhappy people without tix.

good point...

but i still hate ticket master.

Friends... it is 11:23 a.m. (wednesday april-22) and I just got off the phone with TicketMaster. I phoned them to ask 'if they actually had planned on phoning me, or anyone, back from THEIR f-up on Monday'

The quick answer was ' Maybe'

The gentlemen I spoke with said that they have several names, numbers of people that were 'screwed' by their system. As of this morning they are still awaiting a reply from the concert promoter... there is a chance that the promoter will release more tickets to the event and then TicketMaster will call those on the list first... and offer them the ducats.

Before you say it - I know we are grasping at straws here.... but thought I'd update you all on what TicketMaster just told me...

Let's keep our fingers crossed !!

Until then.....

I don't know how that could be true, if you sell out a theatre, you're sold out. How could you possibly release more tickets when you have no more room?
